Re: 1.9 Beta 2

Okay, I got this a couple days ago, logged into Multiverse and got all the files in my Collection. One extension (Commonwealth Police) reported that it couldn't find it's libraries. I got those from Arch and put them in my collections folder and called it a night. Today I loaded up Transcendence, cl...

Re: Commonwealth Police error, please help.

It seems that the library unidArchGlobals is missing. I don't know what's going on, but this seems to be a long-standing problem.

Hopefully this will refresh this topic and someone will look into it.

Re: 1.7 Beta 4 and Part II Alpha Test

Okay, George, I tried to log into Multiverse to enter the key for Part 2. I tried logging in in the game, and it never logged me in. I used what I thought was the password, but it never showed me online. I tried a different password (thinking I had messed up), and it popped up a "Wrong Password" ove...

Re: 1.7 Alpha 2b

Oh, and, I like the keyboard settings page, but I think there are other settings that need to be addressed from the main menu, as well, for instance, audio (especially separate volumes for music and game sounds).

Re: 1.7 Alpha 2b

This is a Steam only release? No link for those of us who use Multiverse (and the extra extensions we have on there)? (BTW, George, I bought it on Steam to help support the game with more than bug reports and suggestions.) No way to connect to the Multiverse from the Steam version? I don't see Trans...

Transdata functionality

Last night on IRC, Xephyr showed me an image of his ships and stations that he used Transdata to create from his resources. I was thinking, it would be helpful if one is setting up a package of such images, if Transdata could not only stitch various-sized images together into two sprite sheets (one ...

Re: 1.6 RC 2

Also, with the imminent Steam release, will we finally be allowed to add an avatar on Multiverse for that blank square next to our name?

Re: 1.6 RC 2

Alright, this was in the beta 2, but I didn't report it at the time. I got the following error when downloading the files from Multiverse with the new version of Transcendence: (Note lower left, above the Load Game button.) When this error occurs, downloading stops, and is not resumed unless you qui...

I think that means a "Total Conversion" (essentially using the engine to create a whole new game) - that's usually what it means in modding circles.

Re: Modeling Tools

Hm, I took a glance at that thread, it looks a bit disorganized. It would be nice if there were, in the initial post (which, unfortunately was written by Prophet), the various links were listed according to category (modeler, renderer (if separate), image program, sprite-sheet generator, etc.), rath...

Wings3D and ManifoldLab

Here are some links to Wings3D and ManifoldLab (which is what I use): Wings3D: http://www.wings3d.com/ ManifoldLab (downloads): https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3cwsi5kvm0jeiae/MI5-gFdPqM ManifoldLab adds a lot of functions to Wings3D, and now comes in a 64-bit version (scroll to the bottom for the latest...

Modeling Tools

I didn't see any thread where links to modeling tools could be found, so I thought I'd start one. I'd like to see separate topics under this one, for each tool (so there could be a sticky topic for each tool, with links for the tool itself, and any useful plugins), but I don't know how to do that. (...

Re: Debris.... empty ships wrecks ~revisted

There are several. My old FalconCV mod (a player ship which is no longer in open distribution) had it, I think there is another mod that adds it to any game. Ah, yes, this one does it: http://www.xelerus.de/index.php?s=mod&id=1362 No timer, but a Dock Screen selection (that way you can keep a wreck ...

Re: HELP: Error "line 15: Mismatched open parenthesis"

The mismatched open parenthesis problem is because a call to a dock screen was changed since the mod was made. A different call is necessary, um, I need to look it up. Anyway, I'm working on both a new ship and an updated version of the FalconCV (which will not be distributed on Xelerus, but I can g...

Re: Bugs/minor bugs/oversights/annoyances (1.3)

Okay, this seems to be rather an oversight, but, why do Residentials have the commonwealthCustoms attribute? It would not be logical (to me) that an apartment station would have customs agents waiting to nab potential smugglers and drug dealers (or, for that matter, even metal detectors). Then again...
