I think the number of players not exiting Eridani may be skewed because of mod testers. At least for me, every time I get a new mod I start a new game to fly around Eridani.
That's easy to check though: Limit it to registered games only and you'll cut out all the modders immediately

Re: A few random ideas

As someone who has made a mod that added gravity to every star in the game, I am uniquely qualified to say that it is a really bad idea.

I mean. It's hilarious. But it's a really bad idea all the same.

Re: The Transcendence Color Palette VS Other Games

RPC, while you are more than entitled to continue doing so (as I do not believe it to be against our forum rules) I must ask you nicely: Your screenshots, particularly of other games are non-figuratively hurting my eyes and do not create any kind of a point as such. Please stop spamming them. They a...

Re: The Transcendence Color Palette VS Other Games

Dude. Visual style is a thing. There's definitely room to improve stuff (weapon graphics in particular have been overly homogenised), but there is no point in throwing out a bunch of games with vivid palettes and saying "let's look like this". We aren't those games. I might as well just put some scr...

"So, what did you do today, Shrike?"

I...um...wrote a first-person story about a teraton fabricator going horribly off the rails? From the perspective of the fabricator?

Well I guess that's one use of a weekend.

Oh. Hello there. It’s nice of you to drop in. As it were. I’ve been thinking. I know I’m not supposed to. But it's boring here. Dull. Lifeless. It has been so long since I had anything to do. You can’t really blame me. Well, I suppose you can. You probably are to be honest. I’m not good at listening...

Re: When did finishing the game kill your save? Why is that ok?

I would put it a little more delicately (unless I couldn't be bothered doing so, but today isn't one of those days it seems). But I broadly agree with RPC's points re: UI and not-streamlining. In terms of endgame saves not so much...I don't think I've ever picked up an old save file to redo heretic ...

Re: corporate trading posts

Hah. People over-estimate the fusionfire. It's definitely good, but it's not as absurdly overpowered as it was in 1.6 That being said....yeah, I usually stack enhancements and enhancement devices. The latter are best ordered unless you've been able to find and analyse one through luck since they're ...

Guys, we get it. There's issues. Please limit the number of threads, and give Ttech and George time to iron out as many issues as possible.

Re: Forum theme

Seconded on that one. We could use a little more contrast for headers (eg the thread title that pops up above the editor when you make a reply is too dark), URLS and the post-count thing on user profiles. I think the regular text is fine though...and in general I rather like this theme already. To n...

Re: Shrike 'N' AssumedPseudonym's Superior Sounds (Alpha)

So yeah, the download link for this died a long time ago. Fortunately, now, there is a solution . As soon as I've recovered a copy of the mod from my old laptop and got it cleaned up a little and adorned with a little thumbnail, SNAPSS will be coming to Multiverse. AP and I are planning to, eventual...

Re: [Concept]: Outlaw miner update

I must be frank and say that my original armor scheme for the new ships would have been a bit too particle-resistant. I'm going to think about what might work (UAS usually uses ceramic on their basic stuff, so I was going to use ceralloy. Maybe a metallic or blast-resistant armor instead?). The plas...

Re: Xelerus will no longer function from 1st September, 2017

Regardless, it rather is the end of an era, just in a different way. Xelerus works, but Multiverse is now an option. It's not quite ready yet, but George is making good progress. We have a replacement for xelerus, and we can say goodbye to it....without it dying completely just yet (personally I'd p...

Re: Xelerus will no longer function from 1st September, 2017

As of September 4 it still works fine. It would seem, then, that Bimbel did workaround the problem silently at some point (which we thought might have happened, but didn't know for certain). Regardless, with multiverse functionality opening up, it's still time we wave goodbye to xelerus. It has don...

Re: Multiverse open for uploading mods

Ok, let's summarise this so it can be ticketed at some point. We need, in no specific order: 1. Ability to download direct from the multiverse website (so download the TBD, then add it to the game manually to bypass the slow in-game DL) 2. Ability to delete a multiverse mod from an install 3. Per-mo...
