That is probably the way to make money out of mining early. Do not mine all of the ore from a deposit, just one to trigger the outlaw miner rush then farm their ships.

Adding on the Shrike/Song's list, I noticed that visiting Benedict and him decreeing "kill Centauri" quests robs the player of income. Normally, it is a good idea to wait until habitats give you missions to kill Centauri for money, but Benedict is all too eager to order player to kill them one anoth...

The reason amorphous armor is ion immune is custom script <OnArmorDamage> or something that prevents ion damage that would otherwise be taken, and that damage is converted to charges. The game engine does not know the armor is actually ion immune. Part 2 has more weird items like that, such as armor...

Amorphous armor's regeneration is conditional. It must first absorb ion damage (making it immune to ion damage), which converts the ion damage into charges, and the armor consumes those charges to regenerate.

Shield recharging was changed to what it is during the 1.08 days, I think. Before then, default did a better job smoothing out regen rates that did not synch with frame rates. For my mod shields, I use the Lazarus method if the regeneration will occur in bursts instead of steady. Armor regeneration ...

I did a clean install without any additional libraries (i.e., no Corporate Command, Eternity Port, and Vault of the Galaxy) or additional mods, and did not get any errors. Lower chance of device damage is still fully vulnerable. This would be, in effect, indistinguishable from external. Probably end up getting questions which is which if implemented.
