The fact that the game is developed at a snails pace, and is never truly finished or bug-cleaned. It turns people away and has to be bad for business, so I cant understand why this is happening.

Very nice writeup. I have two comments after playing one vanilla game with the Sapphire right now: -Early mining is still great for getting a nice profit in the first few systems to afford some decent gear. You cant expect to be showered in ithalium, but finding a good vein of cerallox or palladium ...

I recall doing a pretty good job at this mission once, using the enhanced Akan 600 turret I got from Dvalin, with a few extra enhancers added on for more power. That, and a NAMI launcher with Stiletto and Lucifer missiles.
It's probably tougher now with the improved Earth Slavers.

About the Freyr, assuming the ships will continue to fly towards the core in part II, would not the Freyr be obsolete after leaving human space?

Seems to me it is a lot easier/fewer chances of exploits with the system today: a small area closed off by walls. I look at it like MadMax Thunderdome!
