My preference is to have a set size of screen description for any dockscreen as it stops the actions moving up and down. This makes it easier to use the mouse. But a rewite would be the way to go. Wherever the extra text goes it doesn't really fit well. Merging the fit/afford lines would be best IM...

It's true you could make ship equipment scale in size and power appropriately with ship size, but that would just force the player to switch to a very slow ship in order to be able to fight capital ships. Sounds good! I think because the stations contained items they still existed after exiting the dockscreen. Either that or defining them with 'setq' made them "real". ... I'm pretty sure global variables will not replace parameters, they have to be in a struct. But (scrSetData gScreen parameter value) or ([email protected] gData parameter value) might work if the screen is already open but the text you want to affect isn't generated yet.
