Re: Armstrong Player Ship mod

One suggestion, if I might? Both versions are identical in the ship selection screen; it would make it easier to tell them apart if you added a note in their description which version starts in what system.

Re: The Backroads — an alternate route

The Backroads has been updated again.  The good news is that stations now have proper docking port positions, weapon positions, and fire arcs (which will make a lot of enemy stations (or even friendly stations, if you’re going rogue) easier to deal with). The bad news is that I wound up having to ...

Re: The Backroads — an alternate route

Don’t worry, I’ll be adding it back in later as one you can buy at a ship broker.

Re: AE Mod Collection

In the wake of a(nother) massive re-render for TBR, both AE — Playerships and AE — Overkill have been updated to take advantage of the new graphics. Also, Playerships includes a slight tweak to the Woodpecker to bring the shot origins in line with standard dual weapons.

Re: The Backroads — an alternate route

The Backroads has been updated.  Changes include the aforementioned re-renders, various assorted tweaks and adjustments, and probably most importantly a fix for the Zyrran station crash. Many thanks to relanat for figuring that one out. ^.^  Also I’ll probably have another update sometime later th...

Re: Full Galactic Map

To be honest, I’m to blame for the worst of that. SotP is the main “sickle” of stars, with Corporate Command as fairly straightforward additions to that. Eternity Port’s topology is a simple arc inside the main gateline. Renegade is the small region in the northwest, and The Stars Beyond is mostly ...

Re: Full Galactic Map

If George gives his okay on showing Eternity Port and Corporate Command topology, I’ll post a map of SotP, CC, EP, TSB, TBR, TTB, and Renegade’s topology after tomorrow’s stream.

 I’m glad Song knows how to do that, because I just link to images I’ve posted on Discord first. Discord makes for a very convenient image hosting service sometimes… <.< >.> <.<;

Re: Binary System Stargates

I’d been meaning to experiment with that for years , now.  Two quick things. First, is random traffic able to use these gates in the same manner as the player? Second, Wolfy and I have both created close binary systems where the overall system size is roughly the same as a normal system; you may wa...

Re: reducing bmp filesize query

I meant 12 x 10 in the converted image, same as the Transcendence images.  I always do 10x12 on my stuff for technical reasons, so it never even occurred to me that you might have meant 12x10. I would have provided both versions if I’d thought of it. Glad you got something to work well enough to ma...

Re: The Backroads — an alternate route

Update of the (insert random time period here): I wound up going with C4. …Mostly. I changed the purple to blue because I was afraid otherwise it would be too close to Ryudsew Iler. I may change my mind on that after having seen a side-by-side comparison of the two palettes, though. (EDIT: I did ch...

Re: reducing bmp filesize query

If you have ImageMagick, try this: convert MassiveOlympusMask.bmp -alpha deactivate -threshold 1 -colors 2 -define format=bmp2 OlympusMask.bmp  I’m assuming you’d be using the restructured Olympus mask as your input file with this. Testing with the 5920x7104 Executioner spritesheet from TBR, I got ...

Re: 1.8 Release

Yep, George has enhancers redone to work from an item picker instead of just applying to the currently selected primary weapon for either the current or next 1.9 alpha release (and I’m vaguely embarrassed that I’m not sure which).
