Re: One-Week Adventure

Ranx already has content planned by Wolfy (once they get the engine support they need to really get into it), and the Commonwealth already has the majority of what currently in the game. I voted Anarchists, too.

Speaking for myself, I’ve had a couple of sites (including the Ministry) spit out Cloudflare errors over the past few days, for whatever that’s worth.

Re: Constant logout from Forum

Not in my experience. I have a computer and a tablet I regularly peek in on the forums and Ministry from, and never have issues with having been signed out.

Not currently; it’s already been ticketed. Give it another alpha or two and it should be fixed.

Well, considering that the Cassini-Huygens mission was launched in 1997… ^.~

Re: Armor damage adjustment and internals

I'd still say something like layered armor would be a better system for WMD, with damage partially 'soaking through' to the next layer based on WMD. I actually can't disagree with the basics of that idea, having basically implemented something much like it (with judicious use of Tlisp) for one line...

Re: Armor damage adjustment and internals

Actually, I already have high hopes for this. As it currently stands, most capships are harder to crack than most stations, and this sounds like a good step toward fixing that.

Re: New Player with Questions

It depends on what enemy stations spawn in the system. If you get Sung slave camps, Marauder compounds, or Sapiens compounds, they’ll send you on missions to go destroy them.

....and this is why you give me bug reports. I made a new one using the whiptail effect to replace my original (which was just a clone of the original) to get around ICX issues. If that's lagging then that's a possible engine bug that woulda been good to know about.  The effect for the Xenophobe io...

Re: requesting adjustment to positron

That’s actually ion, not positron, and is the only weapon that uses that particular effect. While I do agree with your opinion on the Avalanche/Fracture and kinetic effects, I have no real stance on this one. Apparently Shrike isn’t fond of the new effect, though, since they overwrote it in SM&M++ ...

Re: New Player with Questions

Repair levels are mostly used to make armor more or less expensive to repair. If the repair level's higher than the armor level, then you have to pay more; conversely, if it's lower (like with the titanium barricades) then repairing is cheap.  Not only that, different stations have different limits...

 Somewhere between useless and trololololol:

Code: Select all

(setq aeOopsIBrokeIt
	(lambda nil
		(plyDestroyed gPlayer
(cat "debugged " (if (strFind (plyGetGenome gPlayer) 'female) "her" "him") "self to death")

Rackspace means the rack holding the actual machine the game runs on. Basically, he means a hardware issue.
