Re: recurring timer event query

I would suggest testing with a printTo 'log blocked in before that first conditional to check and see if you’re still getting output to Debug.log after you’ve undocked. Ah, of course. I studied this a bit more and thanks again. I couldn't work out how to check if the event or events were still runn...

looking for auton check suggestions

Looking for some ideas on checking autons when leaving and entering a system. The Commander's Log mod keeps track of objects in all known systems and saves this info for access out of system. It is a record of all stations, autons and CSCs. Most objects are checked/updated in <OnGlobalPlayerLeftSyst...

cargo space smuggler lining mod

From a great idea by rhuber. The mod adds an action to the Black Market stations and shipyards which lets the player line the existing cargo space on the playership, not installed holds, to prevent illegal items from being detected. Same as installing a smuggler's hold but without using a slot and t...

Re: Tweaking the Minotaur (+ more player ships)

Maybe one Centurion could also have a linked-fire system, for single origin weapons, so you could hack together a dual Katana for example. Maybe have a built-in targeting scanner that makes all missles tracking (so you can have tracking M5 with the NAMI Heavy). Or even a built-in +fast enhacement f...

Re: recurring timer event query

Thank you both. I set the timer to 15 so as not to impact performance. I figured 15 ticks would be about the shortest time between undocking from a station and entering the mod dockscreen so it always cancelled before the info was used. But since there is no performance impact I'll set it to 1. Than...

Re: The Backroads — an alternate route

I like the Ascendent ships and stations so much I thought they were worth a post. Great designs but I particularly like the coloring too. Looks just right.

recurring timer event query

The Commander's Log mod fires a type recurring timer event in <GetGlobalDockscreen>. Here's the code. There is some other code and a Nil entry at the end which isn't shown here. This <GetGlobalDockscreen> event doesn't show any dockscreens, just runs code. (if (or ;Arcology special case. (eq (objGet...

Re: Weapons Lab Beta being updated

Fixed the EP bug. Moving the playership to the Weapons Lab docking port messed up the EP start code. The Weapons Lab in the starting system now gets created either 60 ls east of the start point for SOTP and CC or 60 ls east of the UAS Shipyard Kibo in EP. You have to travel there yourself now! New v...

What size is preferred for the icon image? Or does it scale up and down to best fit?

Re: 1.8 Release

Well done. Lots of work but worth it. I like the linked Multiverse page. The image is great. "Kronosaur Productions is excited and relieved..." made me laugh. An EI7000 delivered my Trading Post order in Eta Ceti instead of an EI100. Great improvement. The 'commonwealthStarCarrier' attribute is very...

request for cover and prolog images

The DIrector's Cut adventure is ready to go except for a bit more testing. But it uses the standard SOTP cover and prolog images rotated 180 degrees to make it look different in the adventure select and game create screens. This is IMO very ordinary to look at. Does anyone have suitable images layin...

problem using RTF ids

I saw the RTF IDs and hoped to use them to change the text color in customPicker lists. Alas, the results are not as expected. See image. Will this ever work or does the RTF format only work in non-list displays. I have played around with it before with similar results. If it can happen, HELP! The i...

Multiverse mod downloading thoughts

There could be two ways to download mods. One based on the current "log-in via the game and the mods download". The other a separate page where mods could be downloaded without using the game. I assume the best way would be a Multiverse page. This could either be freely available or require logging ...

Re: selecting from multiple xml elements query

The code works well. Thanks. You can select for either numbers, number ranges or dice ranges. These examples all work: 160, "75-85" or "1d2". As does "*archipelago" for 'locationCriteria' attributes. Of note if searching by string as in the first post is the need to take into account the shuffling o...

Re: So, what am I doing here?

Welcome back from me too. I did wonder if you had an accident or something when you vanished. Glad you're OK. Just in case you vanish again, thanks for all your help, not just for my modding but throughout the community, and I'm probably not aware of a heap of what you have done. Your work here has ...
