list splitting ship finding query

The GodPlayerships can find ships anywhere in the galaxy by using unvFindObject. But there are 173 ship types in SOTP. That's a bit long for a list. So currently two options are offered. Ships with a disposition of "enemy" towards the playership (68 types) and ships with a disposition of neq "enemy"...

Sublime Text for modding

A recent upgrade of Notepad++ had an annoying auto-complete popup appearing and I could not find a way to shut it off permanently. It's now in the Recycle Bin. So I've changed over from Notepad++ to Sublime Text when modding. Thanks JBW for bringing it to my attention some time ago. Couple of advant...

Cargo Count in Buy Screens mod

Thanks to a great idea by tarbos in a Ministry ticket, https://ministry.kronosaur.com/record.hexm?id=57130. This mod is an overwrite of the standard game screen 'dsRPGCommoditiesExchangeBuy'. When in a 'buy' screen a line is added to the screen description which tells you how many of the selected it...

Re: partial name item search query

Are you sure you put virtual="true" in the StationType tag? By jove, I think you've got it. The code ended up as <StationType UNID="&vtD789GodItemsVirtualStation;"/> I'll add virtual="true" next time I'm fiddling with the code. Thank you. RPC once had a problem with annoying stations during the pro...

Re: 2017 Annual Report

Well done on only a 10% drop in sales. To beat the projections is excellent news. You must be offering something that people want. Also I checked the Steam website a couple of months ago and noticed that you reply to feedback on that site. This implied that you actually notice what people say and wa...

Re: 1.8 Alpha 4 is ready!

Here's a bug fix for the Corporate Manufacturing stations. Just add the attached mod to your Extensions folder and select it when starting a game and the stations will have goods in them.

Re: partial name item search query

It works beautifully now. There is an option to search by keyword or by preset criteria. Regarding virtual stations cease to exist as soon as nothing is referencing them, so you shouldn't have to delete them manually. I think because the stations contained items they still existed after exiting the ...

Re: Ministry Formatting Syntax

For info, strikethrough requires double backquote before and after the text you want struck through.

Code: Select all

``text to be struck through``
It's the top left key on the keyboard normally. Same as the 'tilde' but without pressing 'Shift'.

Re: escort mod for playership idea

I had a quick play with this. None of the shpOrder functions appear to work with the playership unfortunately. shpOrder gPlayership 'escort theFreighter would have been good. But doesn't work (unless my code was bad). Otherwise getting the playership to match the speed and direction of the freighter...

Re: 1.8 Alpha 4 is ready!

I'm also having trouble finding a download. Could you add a link to alpha posts? Yes, that would be good. It's always the same link but easier if it's right there. Here it is from the 1.8a3 topic: https://kronosaur.com/downloads/TranscendenceNext.zip Here's the Transdata link: https://kronosaur.com...

Re: 1.8 Alpha 4 is ready!

Yay, thanks. What a great xmas present!

Initial impression of the trading computer is 'excellent'. Very helpful info.

And the new Pt Juno image is great, especially the dockscreen background image which gives a different point of view.

single crashes - report or not?

I get single game crashes on very infrequent occasions that aren't due to something I'm doing with a mod. I am always off-line when playing so was wondering if there is any value in posting the debug logs for these crashes in the Ministry crash section? When something happens to cause a crash but it...

Re: Korolov Mission and the Charon Frigates

Well done on the permadeath game! Regarding the frigates, I find that getting in between the frigate and the freighter and intercepting the weapons fire with your ship will help to keep the freighter alive for a bit longer. EI7000 is the choice of freighters to escort as it has good shields, a turbo...

auton naming bug?

Despite trying many different ways I can't seem to get (itmGetName whicheverAuton 'actual) to return the actual name of an unidentified auton, eg 'TX3 eplorer auton'. All it will do is return "auton with squiggly markings" or similar. It works if the auton is already identified. The same code works ...
