Re: STARGAZER BULLETIN
1) Gal1 (Pact and Human against Bismalia) 2) Dogeland war (Hallucination and Felor against Dogeland) 3) Nor's battle (Nor against the Pact) Of this three conflict only one (The Dogeland war) started by initiative of one of the members, applying our law number three. Well, yes-but. The Dogeland War ...

Re: Galactic History?
I wonder whether now the Pact members will go to (open) war with each other, Highlander-style, or whether they'll jointly declare that they won the Beta and shut it down.

Re: Galactic History?
Farewell, all! Closing note: to Finnian, ROR, HOA, and Felor, Well-played, ladies and gentlemen. Feels funny to bow out when I'm still ahead of all of you in IM and planets, but my position is clearly untenable. I tell myself that, if I'd had a few more days to digest what I'd picked up from Dogelan...

Re: THE BARRICADES PACT
You're asusming that all the Pact members are going to abide by Pact rules! Given that we just saw how devastating a first strike can be, I assume we're going to see more war, not less-- looks like the benefits to starting a war are so great that Pact members might start hitting each other. And you ...

Re: THE BARRICADES PACT
Giving fair notice: a Pact member has shot down (from a citadel) a fleet of my gunships travelling through my space to bolster defenses at one of my trading hubs, without provocation. I'm trying to decide my course of action, but if there's a war, I did *not* start it and the Pact's collective self-...

Re: Galactic History?
Yep, big news yesterday.
Isn't Felor part of the Pact? I thought Pact members weren't supposed to start wars without Pact agreement. Did the Pact as a whole declare war on Dogeland?

Re: THE BARRICADES PACT
I've spoken up before for the principle that one can shoot down unfriendly fleets parked in orbit, and I'm happy to abide by Mandalor's edict-- but I don't think that explorers are unfriendly fleets in the relevant sense. Two empires have explorers parked at my capital and several others have explor...

Re: STARGAZER BULLETIN
Imperial might is a relative index measure with your own IM *always* set at 100. As you get stronger, your own IM from your own perspective doesn't change. What changes, from your perspective, is everybody *else's* IM when you click on their "Empire" tabs. (Though from everyone else's perspective, y...

Re: THE BARRICADES PACT
Note that I'm not talking about attacking ships that are passing through my territory, or even ships that might park at one of my planets as part of picking a path through nebula. And I *don't* shoot down explorers. I'm talking about fleets of ramjets that have been on my planets for almost a week. ...

Re: THE BARRICADES PACT
I'd like to clarify something about the Pact's stated rules and policies: "2) If a member is attacked (and he lost planets) the other members counter attack the enemy" So if I were to attack a Pact member's fleets only-- say, starfrigate fleets that are rudely parked on my planets, requests for the ...

Re: STARGAZER BULLETIN
That's pretty much it. He was apparently overly persuaded by discussions on the board that high-level starfrigates were powerful way beyond their space force ranking, and was surprised that my jumpfleets could knock out his 1000-2000 at a time bunches of starfrigates. He was also playing a loot-and-...

Re: STARGAZER BULLETIN
I offered the Pirates an orderly withdrawal-- designate a new sector capital outside of my space, withdraw all fleets toward it, and leave me to sweep up his holdings within my space including his old capital, whereupon he'd exist and his fleets would exist but he wouldn't be in the same kind of pos...

Re: THE BARRICADES PACT
Nor here. I just wanted to comment that, while I expanded pretty aggressively for a couple of months, I've never fired the first shot in a war, whether or not the other side was in the Barricades Pact. I have wiped out empires that started wars with me, and that meant that a couple of times I got mu...
