Re: Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread

I'm 90% sure resources are subject to attrition, same as units and defenses. Otherwise there would be billions and billions of trillum on those autofacs that never disappeared. Are you stockpiling them manually or through a trade route?

Re: Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread

That's not really a fleet with 0 elements, the game rounds it down so its actually around 10 or so units. They will attrition to 0 after a long time.

Re: Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread

Now that said plan has been successfully executed... From this cycle 4059 onwards the Imperium-Crystalline Concordat is in effect. The north will be partitioned as shown. Purple for the Imperium eastern border, green for Crystalline. New clusters will be established in the red areas. This is similar...

Re: Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread

Why yes of course, that's more than fair.

And what a way to advertise the plan. I guess any and all notions of this remaining even remotely secret have gone out the window then... oh well.

Re: Server problems (split from "Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread")

I've still been experiencing server issues as of this morning, exactly the same as other users have described, and since it's been for more than a week I thought I'd chip in as well. Yes, it's unplayable, however at times I CAN get a stable connection for about a few hours, then the timeout errors r...

Re: Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread

Are the autofacs the same TL as the jumyards? Also, sometimes it can be fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting the trade routes. IIRC Eldritches use the same component as Warphant, the advanced jumpdrive, so if it's producing for one it should for the other. Maybe there's insufficient import, in wh...

Re: Era 3 feedback

Okay, so you need foundations to advance worlds past TL7. At TL8 or 9 you'll be much more powerful as then you can build the "good" units. Designate a foundation world, make sure its supplied, and import tech levels from it. The absolute easiest way (IMO) for a new player is to use trade clusters. S...

Re: Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread

Oh that's okay, no worries! It's just that I prefer to keep separate accounts for everything, nothing that can be linked to each other, for privacy reasons etc etc. You know. I'm happy to wait, no pressure.

Re: Era 3 feedback

Are multiple accounts legal? Nope, and generally frowned upon. People can use them to instigate wars, troll other players (by attacking then abdicating) or just name their worlds obnoxious things in general. It's happened before. Having said that, there is no actual mechanism in place to prevent th...

Re: Anacreon Era III Discussion Thread

Would it be a horrible idea to tout Anacreon somewhere like the 4X subreddit? On one hand it would be nice to see more players, on the other hand it's a) beta software and b) running on a server that probably can't support a ton of concurrent users. Did we end up promoting this on the sub or not? I...

Imperator, based on your war results can you verify that when you capture a jumpship yard outside of sector capital radius it still projects a beacon?
I'm fairly sure it does, IIRC. Which is why defending them is so important.

Re: Era 3 feedback

I would like to know the details of Imerpium's war, which so far is the only war that has been conducted within the new parameters. Maybe a few answers+ could be: How did your fleets respond to the planetary defenses, how did the tactics change since there were a few instances that you had to use s...

Era 3 feedback

Well, it's a nice Sunday and it looks like we've all had the opportunity to play around for about a good 2 weeks now. I'm sure we've all got to build and test a variety of units, and for some of us (like me) actually use them against other players. So does anyone have any feedback about the unit bal...
