Re: MRAD probes

oh, lol
I guess the only thing to do is to wait for the lobsters to destroy the station, hopefully before they destroy everything else

MRAD probes

As of 1.6, how do you deploy MRAD probes?
I know in the past the device is 'u'sed, but in my first 1.6 game it's not showing up on the list. I have made sure that the device is not disabled.

Re: My solution for fixing ship balance issues

I feel that the current balance between the ship types is actually pretty good, with only jump/starcruisers being severely underpowered. The issues I see with certain ships (jumpships) being much better than the others is how their strengths give very big advantages with the current mechanics, namel...

Re: Galactic History?

Heh, I guess now is as good a time as any to take a break. I suppose we all learned something from this. I was pretty diligent in piling starship fleets onto sector capitals when my empire was smaller, but as it grew in size I just became lazy. Though I still maintain that presently warfare boils do...

Re: Galactic History?

They found an exploit that allowed invading infantry to bypass orbiting fleets and hijacked all my shipyards that had no infantry on them. Wars have always been somewhat broken in that it's always whoever strikes first wins, but in this case especially I see no point in responding.

Re: THE GALACTIC ARENA!!!

I sent 14000 eldritches against the 14000 siriuses. The fight ended with the gunships retreating while the jumpfleet suffered a 25% loss (10300 remain). What I found interesting was that the eldritches made good use of their range advantage. Every time the two fleets passed each other, the jumpships...

EP gameplay questions

Hi everyone Been trying to beat EP for a while now (yet to succeed), sure is tough without Domina powers. I got some questions: If Lilith gets killed, is that the end of the storyline? If not, what can I do to continue it? Does Luminous replenish its HK guards in the final system? If so, how are you...

Re: rochambeau, or don't bring a knife to a gunfight

Did my own test with minotaurs vs gorgos, not going to post it to the arena thread since it's on one of Human Imperium's old worlds. I sent 106k minotaurs to fight against 7.5k gorgos on the planet (14:1 ratio). There were also 600 titan battlestations and 200 plasma towers, but I consider those to ...

The precursor race(s) of Transcendence

...are the empires of Anacreon Here's what I think happened: In Anacreon the majority of traveling is done with jumpships, because the larger frigates and cruisers are too slow to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. From the in-game stats, jumpships are quite flimsy, most likely from having...

Re: THE GALACTIC ARENA!!!

Here's what I'm curious about: how many times did the gorgos fleet shoot before the gunships moved into firing range? So far the trial battles in the arena have revealed two things: gorgos are awesome and undines suck, neither of which is really news. I think it would be interesting to test some of ...

Re: THE GALACTIC ARENA!!!

I see that there isn't much room around the arena. I'm in the process of setting up a sector capital to the northeast of there, where there are a few more independent worlds. Once that's done I'll set up some citadels and starship yards. If anyone wants to test blowing up jumpships, I can provide so...

Re: Trade Primer

That's strange, I'm able to send starship and ramjet components through hubs just fine. Try waiting a bit, since each trade route segment takes a watch to update its demands. Some oddities I've noticed about the trade system: Two way links between trade hubs will cause things to break down, i.e. hub...

Re: Anacreon Questions and Answers

In light of the recent war, how do people feel about planetary defense structures? When and where are they worth building, if at all? How about citadels with their jumpmissiles and infantry? My 2 cents: From what I can see, defenses (planetary and citadels) are geared towards countering gunships an...
