Re: [April Fools 2017] Strategy Guide for CSC America
What?! April Fools 2017 is over and all of this was a joke? You mean that CSC America was never released in the first place?! Not even Transcendence 2.0, Anacreon IV, or Domina & Oracus Part V? I guess it was all just a dream.

[April Fools 2017] Strategy Guide for CSC America
Disclaimer: The following announcement is an April Fools joke as originally released at 12:00 AM UTC on April 1st, 2017. I made all of this up; CSC America was not released today and it will probably not be for a long time. Please do not take any of this seriously. Strategy Guide for CSC America Or...

Re: Armor balance discussion
Here is a sample of the armor balance algorithm, in case anyone is wondering about how it works. Balance is calculated in Balance Points; a positive amount means overpowered and a negative amount means underpowered. You will have to look at the standard armor stats , damage fractions per level , and...

Re: Oracus & Domina I: The March of the Heretic
I will make sure that the fighting completes before the first dockscreen. I am not really sure how to handle ship images and armor segment stuff besides the facings. I also need a way to render the hero images for the playership and monastery. I might make the NPCs use the updated graphics and keep ...

Re: Oracus & Domina I: The March of the Heretic
Doesn't show up in the list of adventures, but command screen does appear in the SoTP menu. Does the download work for you if you clear your extensions folder, or is the problem on my end? Turns out that I forgot to include a name-randomization library that I planned to use for pilgrim characters. ...

Re: Structure of an essay
I do not like writing essays at all. I had to write so many of them for my English class and almost all of them were either uninspired and boring, or about a topic that I had zero experience on. No, I do not want to write an essay on the themes of that book I just finished reading.

Re: Oracus & Domina I: The March of the Heretic
Work on this adventure has become slow and stagnant, though I plan to incorporate the Commonwealth Police into it.

Re: sorting node IDs edgeward to coreward query
I have a helper function called sortByLambda. It takes in a list, a lambda, and either 'ascending or 'descending. It sorts each element by what the lambda returns with the element as its argument ;theOrder is a required argument (setq sortByLambda (lambda (theList theLambda theOrder) ;Remove the lam...

Calculating Combat Power
The function objGetCombatPower is not very useful. It may be able to give you a clue about how strong a Phobos-class dreadnought is and the number it returns may reflect how much you should fear the capital ship's plasma and ion DPS. However, objGetCombatPower will not tell you how what might happen...

Re: Laser/particle diffusion
In order to reduce the steepness of the "range cliff," one could implement a "damage falloff" mechanic, in which projectiles gradually lose their damage potential, via TLisp and (objGetProperty obj 'lifeLeft). I noticed that the vanilla weapons in Transcendence seem to lack something like this mecha...

Command Screen: RTS Dockscreen Interface
The Command Screen is an attempt to implement as many RTS features in Transcendence as possible using the engine in its current state. It uses a dockscreen to draw the System Map and adds a cursor that allows the user to select objects for examination. It includes a custom item that the player can i...

I want the "Night Mode" theme back. It fits so well with the darkness of space.
