I use the animation feature for rendering, it's fairly easy (despite what the length of this post may suggest) I'll assume you have already made the model for this, and that you are using the default screen layouts. So first off EITHER, group everything that composes the ship together, or just the l...

Nothing. Be more careful when you shoot. Or go "Arr!" , blow up the station, and hope it isn't corporate. If it isn't, loot it. If it is, RUN!!! Loot it before you run at least, no sense being poor AND blacklisted from corp stations (which is what you will be so don't dock again unless you like bei...

Clarification: I interpreted it as Domina putting an idea in your mind, a compulsion - I define a compulsion as an impulse (NOT a desire) to do something - it could be to stick your hand in a fire, it doesn't have to be rational , nor does it need to be something that you want to do . And so the pla...

I second the Shtorm it's a great weapon. Another good midgame weapon I like is the Nandao bolt cannon. It fires faster and does MORE damage per shot than a Mark III (compare max damage on the howitzer of 60 [5d12] to the nandao's 102 [12d8+6]) and ammo can be found in plenty on your friendly neighbo...

If it's realism anyone is concerned about, then I would submit a guess that at the current game scale, the Wolfen would be over 50,000 kilometers in length. If it were anything close to real scale, it would probably take a few billion of them to 'obstruct' a single pixel in a single plane. 1. This ...

If rendering isn't your thing but you need planet images with the proper lighting and google isn't cutting it may I recommend Celestia - you can take your own fairly easily.
If you're willing to play around with it a little it makes a nice rendering tool as well.

I generally lose the laser on the non sapphire ships for an arbalest or slam cannon as soon as possible, since my early game shield of choice is a solon (if there's not one in eridani I get a class II since it will last until st k's) Early game weapons in rough order of preference. Arbalest/Shuriken...

Start Transcendence. Find a planet, have a laser equipped on your ship. <snip> The speed of light in Transcendence is 100% totally accurate. Planets, ships and other objects are not drawn to scale. You didn't think your sapphire was sixty million meters long did you? The scale of the game is specif...

http://www.aqpm75.dsl.pipex.com/hullgen.html Now this is an old link I had, I don't have shockwave right now so I can't test it out so who knows if it still works. It makes stuff that is good enough I guess. I've never been a fan of the "random squares" theory of detailing. I say make it look REAL, ...
