I agree that you cannot "stop" light/photons. Think of the black hole as a well, the light is travelling at the same speed (light speed, duh) but travelling up the well, thus, the outside observer would see it 'stop' it would eventually become more red shifted until the light fell into the infrared ...

The insurance is triggered by an event <OnGlobalResurrect> which could be placed in any station and hold any scripts. I like the idea of having a super boss come after you, forcing you to rage quit, although a godmod ship would circumvent that. Directly destroying the playership in code is foolproof...

We were discussing the cursor ship and were hoping for a few small changes.

Can you make the body thicker and smooth it to a perfect circle? Then add some kind of texture or colour to show the front of the ship?

That's fantastic Digdug!! :mrgreen: ... the chasm, phobos, deimos and tundra couldn't have existed yet. And even the cometfall is of dubious existance at that time period. I suppose more primative versions of the ships may have existed back them... I'm not expecting to get a full set of fully render...

It's so much faster. I don't even think about it or look at what the action key is now it's nearly second nature.
