Well you don't disassemble a star system until you've made sure you've evacuated all it's (former) residents ;)

Hell, that might be my new favorite mining method... OUTSIDE of a GM mod. It would, of course, be a really high level item... maybe better for part 2

I think items found outside of stores should be totally unidentified, so we agree there. And only partially identified when they are on sale. That being said, we really need something to identify items. I've been using the barcode scanner mod as a stopgap measure, but it's very unsatisfying. WE3 add...

Even if you can't tell what exactly it is, you can usually get an idea of how complicated, and therefore valuable, it might be. Even untrained. That's how I always saw the levels. I think, if anything, too little information is being given out. I know that this game is based on Nethack in style, the...

Now, I haven't read the book, but as I understand the situation a Cyclic view of the big bang is not the only alternative explanation available here. Specifically, I believe that an Aperiodic set of "Bangs" could be possible, and even account for the background radiation's irregularities... not to m...

I like the idea of them scaling. After all, if a weak ship comes into your space, you're not going to send your biggest, baddest ships after it. Then again there may be enemies that would do JUST that.

Mmmm, very intriguing, especially concerning my dastardly plans (that I have yet to be able to begin to pull off due to various limitations in the engine).

Yay for more modularization! I have been wanting to do a similar thing to Periculi, basing the planets, asteroids, and various moons off Orion's Arm's Non-Luminary World Classification Scheme . This might end up leading me to introduce various "Artificial" planets, if you scroll down you'll see them...

This is a great idea. It would be extremely awesome coupled with the new ship switching possibilities. Pesonally I've taken a proof-of-concept mod and added all the mod ships I have downloaded into the ship-purchasing screen it provides. It's pretty freaking nifty to be able to upgrade, and to have ...

I concur. There is something seriously unsatisfactory about the resolution options in this game. 1024 is the only truly working resolution. Anything wider screen, bigger, or smaller will simply not work correctly. George, you really should try giving us the option of higher resolutions, even if it i...

Shiptables are broken in 1.03

When using Transdata 2.0 to extract the shiptables, I ran across the following output: TransData v2.0 Copyright (c) 2001-2010 by George Moromisato. All Rights Reserved. Loading... Unknown design element: <SystemPartTable> It doesn't matter if you have extensions, the only place <SystemPartTable> is ...

There should be way more to the economy in the game than there is, now. Different places should pay different prices for different commodities more often than they do, now. Also interesting would be certain stations, maybe commonwealth ones, that have a "specialty" which is randomly generated. They ...
