What's the full name of the Commonwealth (is it the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania)?
Also, why are the Majestic-12 sending bots to check on this forum?

Re: Getting code to run when the game starts
If you only need to run code once, when you start a new game, <OnGlobalUniverseCreated> would be useful. Actually, I'm pretty sure my code as it is needs there to be a station in every system. Doesn't make all that much difference though. The ultimate problem seems to be that I can't figure out a w...

Re: Getting code to run when the game starts
Hmm. I looked at the code you linked to, and it seems to work in its native environment, but not when I try to use it. <StationType UNID="&vtCFWInitSpawner;" virtual= "True" > <Events> <OnGlobalSystemCreated> (block Nil (sysCreateStation &vtCFWStation; nil) (cfwInit) ) </OnGlobalSystemCreated> </Eve...

Re: Getting code to run when the game starts
Eh, I've got too much time these days. I get depressed when I'm not working on something. Another question: Is it possible to have a ship fly up to the player and force him into a dockscreen? I'm thinking for a quest mod I'd have some guy in St. K's go up to you and tell you about this mysterious ar...

Getting code to run when the game starts
I need to run a block of code as soon as the game starts (I think it'll just insert an item into the player's inventory). How do I do it?

Music in Transcendence
I was just about to start on making an incidental music mod, when I notice that George recently added some suspiciously useful functions for playing music. Is there a plan to add music to the game already in the works? I don't want to spend days (music making is hard!) working on functionality that ...

Re: Dwarf Fortress (Tombsink Succession Game)
I put some cheesemakers and bonecrafters in the military and sent them after the Giant Capybara which are idling around outside the fortress. I think a few of them have died, I'll have to check. Also, Kol Udibalath, a lye maker, has gone stark raving mad. Poor fellow. Many of our dwarves, especially...

Re: Dwarf Fortress (Tombsink Succession Game)
The construction of the larger workshop area is done. However, the food crisis is yet to be dealt with. I think I will order our growers to go out and gather plants so that we can have food for slightly longer, at least until the next caravan arrives. I may also construct a fish processing workshop....

Re: Dwarf Fortress (Tombsink Succession Game)
I have decided to begin conscripting dwarves for the military. The new military squad is called The Scorching Fountains, and they are composed of all the dwarves in the fortress with any kind of combat skill, and some poor useless padding. Also, some migrants arrived, trying to get away from the mon...

Re: Dwarf Fortress (Tombsink Succession Game)
Cog has claimed a Mason's workshop, taken a single stone (a piece of silver ore), and begun his construction. Hopefully it'll be something useful. ---- Cog has finished his construction. It is a hatch cover, of course. Sod damnnit Cog. I have ordered the construction of a large central staircase aro...

Re: Dwarf Fortress (Tombsink Succession Game)
JOURNAL OF SCHILCOTE KOGANDOLUSH, CHEIF ENGINEER OF RAKUSTLIKOT Today, the current Overseer, one Miss Rith Savotrigoth, came up to me today and handed me control of the fortress. Sod and Fer help us all. I've been looking over the maps of the fortress and, I'll be honest, they make no sense to me. I...
