Slaves are "Soul" items. Soul items add one disposition per level of the item. Slave coffins are level V, and worth five disposition. Compare that to one disposition per luxury food item regardless of level (except Ringer ambrosia, which is worth five). Another example of a "Soul" item: CDM archive....

Kaidun: I am not fond it because it is too heavy (12 tons) for the Sapphire or Wolfen, and 200 MW is a noticeable drain on fuel even with a Hyperion. It takes forever to recharge. Killing gladiators quickly enough, despite what Katami says, is enough. If the enemy is very weak, I may disable shields before the finishing blow to raise approval. It does not matter what the dreadnought AI is if the ship is so slow it cannot prevent a faster enemy (i.e., the player) from closing in to exploit its weakness. The dreadnought should have some point defense weapons to shred enemies who fly too close.

First insurance claim costs 10,000. Second costs 50,000. Third and final costs 100,000. Insurance will refuse to offer more insurance after the third respawn. Since permadeath is not enforced in this game, random insurance stations need to go. If I want to honor permadeath, I see insurance as a loop...

The slicer cannon has less DPS (displayed stats ingame are incorrect), less range, and higher power use than either the dual particle beam weapon or lancer cannon. In other words, the slicer cannon is overrated and underpowered. Also, consider that systems beyond St. K's are no man's land or war zon...

As Atarlost wrote, exploiting that "something", known as a fabricator, with food requires precise knowledge of a table. If you do not want to be spoiled, ignore it. At best, you will lose items. At worst, you will die.

Another bad thing about insurance is their stations can crowd out other possible station spawns. I had games where multiple insurance stations spawned in a given system.
