Also, with regard to the omnis, they do become harder to get - which means that you would need to use different tactics with the freighter. Such as using all the extra money from not buying armor,weapons or shields on ammo and stickpiling missiles and relying on the launcher. Also, you could buy/ord...

i don't think no minig is much of a challenge either. If you run trade routes correctly, you can get enough money to finish the game with ease... remember the older versions in which there was no mining?

Just came online to report the same problem... I think the game doesn't delete multiple copies of the same ship. For e.g, if 10 ships are spawned and you press N, only 1 will get deleted and the other 9 remain...

It's 12 tons. So, yes, it works only on the freighter. And I use longreach to defend against the disintegration spheres. I think it's pretty good otherwise too...

I dunno about that but Chinese names make awesome names.

Anyway, many of these names are related to the Sung slavers, which are themed to be that way. Just the same way as makayev - russian, etc. I think it's got more to do with the theming.
