Is this possible? override Ship Status screen

In a mod that I'm working on, I've realized that I have to be able to fully override the Ship Status screen in the game, or at least the actions offered on that screen. I know there's DSF, which allows custom menu entries to be added to that screen, but can it (or anything else) replace/override tha...

Re: [George] Part II: Can we have a peek?

1. Right now, I don't envision new damage types for Part II. Part I takes the player from level 1 to 10; Part II will go from 11 to 20 (and I haven't yet decided on Part III). But level 20 will be enough to sample some dark matter powers. We already see some limited dark matter in Part I. The Penit...

Re: Two questions

not yet the default xml works fine for normal coding If you want a syntax file that highlights not only xml but also tscript, then use jedit. digdug has created a nice syntax file for it. It is somewhere on the forums (i can find it for you if you end up needing it) About customizing. You can possi...

OK, I use notepad++ myself. Is there a syntax file for transcendence's XML/lisp dialect?

Two questions

1. I'm about to start coding a mod, and I'm wondering what tools people use to actually write their code? Anyone use an XML editor, or does everyone pretty much go with notepad? 2. I asked this before, I think, and I never got an answer: How much of the graphics for Transcendence's HUD are customiza...

Thank you for the suggestion. 8-)

The CSC and Rigel Aur. gate in Eridani are supposed to be there in debug mode.
Ah. Now I know to keep debug mode off if I don't need it. Thank you for your help! :D

Re: Oh, this is weird! O.O

 You started the game in debug mode somehow. In the main menu there should be a button at the upper right saying this. Just click it to revert normal play. However, this doesn't change the status of any saved games AFAIK. I know debug mode was enabled, because I was using a shortcut that laun...

I haven't used G.O.D. in any of my regular games, though.

Re: Oh, this is weird! O.O

Steelwing, what mods do you have? If the CSC's name is CSCHQ.... then it's my fault. (my DySys mod has a spawnable CSC) Captain's Log DSF G.O.D.Mod - I'm making a mod of my own, and so I have this tool for helping with it. I just started another new game without any extensions, and the CSC was ther...

I just started a new game in 1.05. The Rigel Aurellius stargate is showing up w/out my ever having reached Rigel Aurellius...And instead of the usual Thor's, there's a CSC here!

Re: Some questions about ship graphics

Turn off all the lights in the rendering scene (easier if you kept them in a separate layer), replace all textures with a simple black one, change background colour to white and ... Re-render all your frames :) Then at the end just fire up GIMP and make the frames negative, so that the ship is whit...

Some questions about ship graphics

OK, I'm working on a playership mod, and I need some help with the graphics. 1. I've done all the facings already. I rendered them in Blender, and they look quite lovely. :D I just need to work out how to do the mask graphics. Anyone have any hints on making masks for a playership? 2. The HUD graphi...

Re: [IDEA] The Stardrake (Inspired by the Wyvera Mod)

I found a way to get my model into Blender and decided to do all my materials and rendering there. I also decided to....adjust my color scheme. I wasn't sure that purple and yellow looked right for an organic starship, so I decided to try a different color combination that looked more "organic". Sta...
