If a station has more than 2 fewer guards than docking ports NPCs can never dock. If it has more than 3 fewer anything beyond light traffic will cause issues. An ondamagearmor script that spawns a small explosion or, if damage is greater than armor (ie. any internal structural damage would be done), an explosion proportional in size to the ship hit (with a very high cap).

It's beta. You're supposed to be reporting bugs, not exploiting them. The point I'm getting at is that a new user wouldn't know about this in the first place. Maybe there should be a link to Ministry on the http://anacreon.kronosaur.com/ site, and maybe some clarification on known bugs and what not...

If we stay with that route, then I agree that the energy weapons need something that will make players want to use them. WMD would probably do it. There are people who prefer to play the EI500. I can't imagine how or why, but they exist. Or at least they existed before the internal structure debacle. The EI500 accumulates wealth more easily than any other ship. There are, or at least used to be, a number of very good armors only it could mount...

A lot of kinetic weapons are not competitive with the basic laser cannon simply because their mildly higher DPS just doesn't compare with the drop in accuracy and ease of use.
