Re: Commander's Log

Version 2.02 now uploaded to the Multiverse. Same mod. I fixed a duplicate variable error which was stopping the mod working in debug mode in 1.9b3.
I did upload a 2.01 version a long time ago but this was a bugfix shortly after the initial upload of Version 2.

Why won't Renegade appear?

Apparently Xephyr has left so I was looking at patching Renegade for players to use because it is a good mod. But it won't appear in the extensions list in 1.9b3 for me. What am I doing wrong? Has there been some change to extensions recently? I can't see anything that should stop it. The game gives...

Re: TransCompiler Usage

Hey, AP. I assume we can compile in Linux. What is the code for that? TIA.

Re: Network

Updated version now on xelerus. http://xelerus.de/index.php?s=mod&id=1637 Requires game version 1.9b3 or higher. Mainly just a bugfix because the previous version wouldn't start in 1.9b3. Hat-tip to DoctorGoat and Syamers24 for the bug report. The Near Stars Expansion does have some of the very inte...

Re: 1.9 Beta 3

Finally got a chance to have a sorta playthrough. Excellent. Lots more content, Eridani looks good, the extra missions are very good, the new images are great (as always). I particularly like the little rank progress windows, they look good and are really helpful in explaining what is happening. And...

*Is there an in-game way of (safely - no explosions) moving a ship - this tractor beam would work: https://forums.kronosaur.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8848 ?* Tractor beam mods are possible. They can just reposition the 'towed' ship every fraction of a second and it looks like there is a beam connecti...

Re: Do cannon accelterators stack?

I just checked versions 1.8.3 and 1.9b2c and they do not stack. +50% is all you get even with 2 installed.

Re: Part II

Try this: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7921
I assume there are redemptions still available.
Be aware that Part II isn't a finished game yet so you can't complete it, it is still a work in progress. But feedback would be appreciated by the developer.

Linux debug console cursor problem

Running Ubuntu 18.04 and Wine 5.0.2.
In the debug console the cursor doesn't show in the correct position.
In the image the cursor is actually at the end of the line of text but shows a few characters back.
Anyone got any idea why this is happening? It is quite distracting!

Re: Things to do with very large networks

Awesome. Any chance of posting a mod so we can have a look? The current games are very linear, having a 'sprawling' galaxy, like TBR, is different and good IMO. But trying to follow mission chains in sprawling galaxies can be difficult, requiring a lot of travel across different areas. Generating mi...

Re: Getting started with git and github

OK, years ago I managed to get a pull request up and working. I was using a public library computer that was hundreds of miles away at the time. I didn't realize that it was 64-bit and every other computer I would try since then would be 32-bit. It stopped my git work dead in its tracks. :( I now ha...

Re: Trillum - a universal fuel; trillum beetle and trillum squirrel

Very nice images.

Getting a crash all the time.
Looks like it is something to do with the <OnUpdate> event in &ittrillumsquirrel;

Try adding an 'if' function in there maybe. The code doesn't look quite right.
