Re: Constant logout from Forum

No more problems since today. I didn't do anything.
If this happens again, I will check it with another Browser.

Forums are getting old, ghosts emerging from the old times..

Re: Constant logout from Forum

I did.

I checked the cookies. There are 3 for this forum, all recently created (a few minutes ago). Other cookies, for example the Kronosaur pages, exist for a longer time. In my case since may when I last deleted my browser data.

Constant logout from Forum

Happens since today. Automatic Login isn't always saved and sometimes I only have to open a subforum and pouf - logout. Sometimes it lasts longer. No idea why. I didn't make any changes to my browser (Chrome) and I have no program which automaticly cleans my cookies or something similar. Does this h...

Re: Transcendence 1.5 won't run

Try looking in folder C:\User\"Your user"\AppData\Roaming\Kronosaur\Transcendence\ Note: AppData is only visible if you enable showing hidden files and folders how to do it is explained here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/ Sometimes, but it seems not for eve...

Re: Transcendence 1.5 won't run

Might be unrelated, but I noticed on a fresh install of vista that the beta refused to run. Apparently vista noticed that I had extracted the exe at work and then just copied it from my external, therefor it "belonged" to a different pc. Now that I think about it more, I'm pretty sure it's not rela...

Re: (scrTranslate) and (scrSetDescTranslate)

This look nice. I think I'm gonna finish translating v1.3 and then convert it sometimes later into a better supporting version of the game.

George, you are motivating.

(scrTranslate) and (scrSetDescTranslate)

Hey folk, it's been a while. I had a pretty bad year and now I want to try to get back to Transcendence. I noticed some changes which I don't quite understand. What does (scrTranslate) and (scrSetDescTranslate) do? They sound like I could use them for my mod. Also thanks to George for <Language>! Th...

Re: Prolog Varience

I tried and failed. My problem was getting the type of the playership. According to some older posts the playership itself is created AFTER the prologue So the usually used functions wouldn't work here. I couldn't find any other function on Xelerus. I couldn't find a piece of code where the playersh...

Report on Transcendence Design

Someone on IRC: Okay, where to start... Let's start with the beginning of the game Not the beginning beginning, but the first thing the player experiences when double-clicking on the EXE They see the nice menu screen. The combat happening front and center is a nice grab, and definitely is an eye-cat...

Re: Broken Mission in St Katherines

Sounds clearly like a bug. I looked at the code and it doesn't say anything about a second base to destroy.

Also welcome to the forum, Lord Slim!

Re: Error Loading Extensions: Invalid UNID

No no, modules can be used anywhere. Their only purpose is to contain code in a new file. Just link them somewhere and everything will be nicely sorted.
You don't really need them. You could write any code in just one file. It may be easier to split them, though. Your choice.

Re: Error Loading Extensions: Invalid UNID

You made the first file into an adventure-mod, the other into a extension-mod. If you want to put something in a different file you have to use <TranscendenceModule> instead of Extension, also you need a link in the mainfile: <Module filename="newfile.xml"/> I was bored and tinkered a bit: https://w...

Re: 1.3 Beta 1: Is this a bug?

You mean there was a military tag on the unidentified rom, right? I ask because it sounds you mean the military id chip, which is also a rom.

There actually is a military ROM, besides the chip, which has to be identified.
