Re: Scripting?
Nice Atarlost. I watched that episode a few days ago and I agree with its standing. Casual play is what Anacreon is meant for. Hardcore play will drive away those who cannot keep up.

Re: Scripting?
If you're interested in playing a very diplomatic and intensive game, then contact me. Be warned. The game I have in mind is very exhausting and I say, "NOTHING! Will ever work out the way you plan to. EVER! Both Good or Bad." Could that possibly be Neptune's Pride? If not, JOIN US! :twisted: It's ...

Re: Scripting?
Its not your fault. The diplomacy interface hasn't been developed in Anacreon, so there are issues that make communication very hard. That's why we have the stargazer bulletin and the other assorted threads in this forum. It's all for your benefit. If you're interested in playing a very diplomatic a...

Re: Anacreon Dev Team?
I support a dev team for Anacreon. Of all things George has released, this game is the most immersive. It is a sandbox dream of one's empire. There is no story you need to follow nor a curriculum. That is what makes this game so powerful.

Re: Ranx Revolution. Good or Wrong?
@Wolfy Could there possibility that the player could enter the Ranx Empire? I believe this would be fun and interactive for the player. The decision would appear in critical part of the story line. During the Ranx adventure, the player would learn the lore of the Ranx. For example, the annals of the...

Ranx Revolution. Good or Wrong?
The Ranx Empire was formed from a group of angry frontier miner colonies. These colonies were angry for the Commonwealth's inability to protect them, as well as preventing them access to military grade defense(as shown in-game). The Ranx's desire for liberation also involves various other factors. O...

Re: Shrike's Mines & Missiles ++
Instead of quad, octo, and etc; how about a laser that can overheat? A Turbo-laser or any laser can be modified to fire at as superior fire rate at Tinkers. The tinkers would remove most safety modules off the laser, then add specific items to make the laser fire FAST . However upon completion, the ...

Re: Shrike's Mines & Missiles ++
Oh. An older centurion model would be interesting. Perhaps some old, but powerful equipment to supplement it. Description of Centurion F-2100: An early Centurion model. This ship was made en masses due to the extreme resistance of the Ares Orthodoxy. It was made to be durable and powerful enough to ...

Re: Centurions are worthless in combat.
Woah! What is with the criticism? That's very unsubstantiated + First, I am not interested in participating in your flame war against JohnBwatson, who happens to be proficient in flame wars. I said this was my opinion and therefore my POV. No need for you to criticize it so severely or even criticiz...

Hello, I have my own opinions on what roles these warships field. Oh btw, I am the creator of this thread, so keep it nice. I don't want to see my own thread locked. Commonwealth Fleet: CSC [insert name]-Mobile HQs that are tasked with long-range deployments and logistics. During combat, the armor o...

Re: Suggestion & Brainstorm: Illegal Weapons
Illegal Weapons ties in with: Commonwealth Court of Justice and Codes, Blackmarket, Corporate Hierarchy, and the Commonwealth Fleet. Lets look at it from each faction's perspective. Commonwealth Justice system states that any user holding illegal weapons should be fined, but not captured. This means...

Re: Shrike's Mines and Missiles ++ (1.0)
I hope George considers adding this mod as an official extension, once it is polished and proven. However, I need to first try out 1.6 and try my fingers for a fast and furious run.

Re: Mining Early Game is Expensive
IIRC the major problem with grinding (and/or mining in general) is that you can't tell which rock has been tapped out or has 0 yield (of any ore). Some of the new equipment may make a difference here, but (again IIRC) they're time-limited & in a dense 'roid field it's difficult to tell or remember ...

Mining Early Game is Expensive
I tried multiple games starting as miner. I did all the Eridani missions, got a mining pod, and mining equipment. Remember! Mining is more expensive now, as George tweaked mining to give pods incentive. This means a few hundred credits out the drain. Very expensive early game. Okay! I started mining...

Re: Surprised at lack of changes
The issue pointed out by Sungslaver is that George is an indie developer. However, he doesn't have to stay as one and being an indie developer doesn't mean he cannot make a team composed of volunteers. Anacreon is the case where George could get help from. Yes. Transcendence is the flagship of Krono...
