Re: Stupidest early game death.
Not my death, but rather my escortee. A mid level Korolov mission, pretty much a coffee and cake run round the local star to a Tempus Lab and back again. Bad timing was the culprit here, as we approached the lab a BM transport escorted by about a half-dozen Zulu gunships appeared on a more or less p...

Re: [MOD] Dynamic Systems V6
Maybe bringing in Korolov crates could increase Korolov rank, or bring up a screen where the stationmaster rewards then for their honesty. Turning in crates to commonwealth stations for a small reward is a fine idea. Another idea: if players get caught selling Korolov crates it'll increase their cr...

Re: [MOD] Dynamic Systems V6
Well.... The problem is that the loot these freighters have is: - Pretty valuable - In large amounts - Is persistent Personally (others may disagree) I think that wandering freighters should not usually carry any goods above the "level" of the system they're currently in. And stuff like Korolov cont...

Re: [MOD] Dynamic Systems V6
Just a thought.... Maybe it's not the best idea ever to have freighters wandering about with korolov containers and piles of expensive ores (sometimes in excess of 100t). Seriously, anyone with even half an ounce of patience can get hold of 100k+ credits without ever leaving Eridani just from harves...

Re: New Stations: DBG Heavy Industries & Spacer Hotels
Heavy Industries is awesome. But it seems to break the Duralloy armours. They don't have the "regenerate" ability anymore despite having the attribute set, which doesn't make sense as the only thing different from vanilla is the sort name entry. Weird. [edit] Solved. DBG got a bit carried away when ...

Re: Stupidest early game death.
This just happened. And I'm not impressed. I took a mission to defend one of those agricultural colonies. Only I failed. Probably my fault for only having pair of lasers and not having enough hit to kill everything quickly. Okay. No biggie just pick up the pieces and move on, plenty more to do. And ...

Re: Drivers and Reactors Should be Slotless.
Just another thought here.... Given that the vast majority of people will be installing a reactor at some point, you could say that a reactor is "required" equipment. (The only way this is false is if you're doing a default reactor run.) All ships have a set limit to the number of devices they can h...

Re: Armour Mass Limit
Some text in that box would do the job just fine, and be awesome. The weights may well be displayed but I've got probably more than 5 dozen ships to play with, no chance I'm remembering even a fraction of the limits for all that. (I'd consider it lucky if I could remember the limits for the vanilla ...

Armour Mass Limit
Simple idea. No idea how hard it would be to implement. Some armour plates are too large for some ships and currently there are only two ways of finding this in-game: Buying an armour plate and being told by the station its too large to fit on your ship. (Annoying.) Remember everything . (Not availa...

Re: Stupidest early game death.
Haha! I didn't even know about the se commands, but even so I'd very likely forget about it after 2 or 3 uses :p Just added another instance of stupidity while flying a light IAV, dashing toward a Centauri camp through a mess of fighters and the whole volley of cannon rounds bunches up as I accelera...

Hostile Friendly Stations
We've all been there. Happily plinking away at bad guys and a few stray shots land where they shouldn't, and *bam* you're suddenly public enemy #1 as far as that station is concerned. Thier ships will even ignore any "red" guys that happen to be attacking them in preference of chasing you off thier ...

Re: Stupidest early game death.
Black Market Station Molotok Hunter Cluster MAG I was docked and while messing about inside some Charon guys showed up and started throwing missiles around, and my PD guns started up. It would be awesome if someone created a little extension which shuts down all your point defence weapons when you'r...

Re: Starflight
http://www.starflt.com/ Goes back a fair bit before Sega ever got hold of it and created thier cobbled together unfinished version. That being said, it would be fairly easy to map the Starflight toys and ships to Trans. 5 classes each of engines, armour and shields. About 10-or-so weapons in varying...
