Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
If scientists are trying to disprove what they think then why do people still believe in time dilation? The classic example of how this works (moving parallel lines with the a signal bouncing between them) does not show time dilating but rather shows that the medium through which the signal moves is...

Re: Merchandise
I looked into getting one and they were running around $500 for a small 3d printer.

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
In the process of reading. I don't think I'm going to learn anything new here but just in case. In the mean time I would like to also know why you don't think I'm getting it. So far it looks like what I've said before. As far as speculation goes, if you look into it closely enough you will come to r...

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
That's why we need lab condition in sensitive experiments. Yeah I know... I was just showing how a statement can be true for Transcendi there. Oh and Atarlost, I can't see whatever picture you put in so it looks like you're just bumping the thread which is just too funny. If the point was to bump t...

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
So far it seems like you don't think I understand much so I would suggest starting there. Think about the most basic concept you don't think I'm getting, ground up.
Explain as you would a child.

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
You are supposing that the uncontrollable variable will ever vanish. There will always be uncontrollable influences to every experiment. The degree to which they matter increases exponentially as the size of the object (particle) goes down. Many factors don't go away, they just change. It's one of t...

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
Yes you seem to have spit out the usual accepted information. So far no one has even bothered to look into what I've posted. I'm not alone in these ideas they just aren't in the forefront of the scientific world. As far as speculation goes, if you look into it closely enough you will come to realize...

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
Wow, a whole post just for me, and a pretty long one too. :D A wrap up is nice except you ignore anything I actually said and merely spewed out a bunch of rhetoric without substance. Instead of focusing on the meaning you attack the speaker, take words completely out of context (turtles, he he, stil...

Re: 1.3 Beta 1
I just got around to trying this and although the rear propulsion and exhaust is neat, I don't really care for the turning jets being all that visible.
Other than that though it's going great.

Oddly enough I was looking at George's astral photography first and happened across the game in his posts.

Re: Going to make a short racing game adventure thingy
A good straight away for precise straight flying. We all know how hard it is to shoot for a station across the system and be on target. Usually lots of course corrections or minor tweaks if you're trying to hit it dead on.

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
It's not a lack of understanding. The model is a theoretical model, meaning a model that merely tries to explain what they see in experiments and what is possibly there. It is by no means an exact model. One of the reasons for this is the difficulty to produce accurate measurements the smaller you g...

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
I'm not saying the same thing at all. The kid doesn't know he found a server but it's there and anyone who knows what it is knows it without any doubt at all. It doesn't even have to work. No test is needed. Then again it's not going anywhere. Where is it? It's sitting on the floor with a little kid...

Re: Particle Physics Isn't That Hard Actually
You are confusing finding with understanding. The little kid found a server even if he didn't know what it was. It was definitely found though. In experiments you are trying to make the opposite true. Just because you are getting a result on a screen doesn't mean you really know why even if you can ...
