Hi GambitDash, Just downloaded the last version, loading time is just the same, around 35-40s. I'll have some time to test more. Cool. It's interesting that it's so long for you; it hasn't been that long for me in quite a few versions, and I'm running this within VMWare. I might have a custom binar...

VERSION 4 AVAILABLE Executable Only: bz / tgz . Full Package: gz This fixes a crash, and several problems that evidenced themselves as "shoot the station, crash the game". Old savefiles should be discarded. Thanks for Atarlost and speedofsquid for providing some excellent savefiles to reproduce the...

Next time I'll push out just a binary (since that's predominantly the only thing changing) so you don't have to download the entire game data as well.

VERSION 3 IS AVAILABLE For a limited time only, I've made version 3 available for download. I will leave the download open for a while to collect bugs, and will close it if any absolute showstoppers are found. What's in this release: Fix for the savegame issues. Really. This time it's good! Should ...

Okay, I've gotten enough feedback to keep me busy for a couple days, at least! There's still a problem with savegame loads, which is why I've pulled the archives from the download point. If you already downloaded it, feel free to continue filling in bug reports as you find them! Special thanks to At...

I would suggest either a window manager that can hide (or not "on top") all of it's various taskbars and stuff, OR a screen resolution > 1024x768, since right now there's no full screen support. Oh, and the usual ~40MB or so of harddrive space. Other then that, it should run on almost anything. I do...

Good pickup. I added a 0.99c Linux for the version, which should work well for now.

Binarys available for testing

Test these binaries! Compatible with most or all Linux distributions! There are still some font glitches, but everything else sans sound should be working fine; that includes extensions, savegames, and so forth. If you're interested in reporting bugs, please feel free to talk to me directly on IRC ...

It's not quite necessary to post here while waiting for approval :) Give me a day or so at the least to get around to the approval before sending me a private message poke.

Cheers,

The short answer is yes, it should. The longer answer is that there's a discrepancy in one of the ID tables that I haven't sorted out yet. Anyone know what the ID 0xd005f001 is supposed to refer to? :D In better news, I've reduced the CPU utilization by over half, so pending further review that part...

Ahh, the friendly fire problem. I have suggested a 'solution' to this problem over at the unofficial forums Pseudo 3D - some people liked the idea, others didn't .... I would definitely like something along those lines - because, by the very nature of the game, your autons and wingmen are always re...

Defending the home turf: http://wiki.neurohack.com/transcendence/wiki/_media/transport_screenshot_2008.09.27.jpg The fonts have been cleaned up in this one, and you can see that the graphics are all rendering correctly and (alas) with the right colors. Game play seems fine, with all the usual elemen...
