I had no idea that splitting production reduces total work units output. Why is this the case, and how significant is the penalty? I have autofacs building 50% Eldritch and 50% Undines, so it would be better to dedicate all worlds to producing 100% of a single unit as opposed to splitting their lab...

Thanks for bringing this back! I have added links to this to my Era 3 reference. I think it is good for this to get its own thread so that you can maintain and update it as you see fit, rather than for me to include it as a section of the reference guide like I did during Era 2.

Does it make sense to increase capital ramjet speed too? Their high speed previously distinguished them from capital starships. Maybe they should be gunship speed, eliminate the Manta's parts requirement, and remove the underwhelming nebular gunships entirely? Nebulas are smaller theatres than clear...

I've discussed fleet capture and fleet transfer in various bug reports dating back to 2016. I think fleet capture is a serious defect in the current combat model, because it makes it paradoxically risky to use fleets to actively defend your planets during an enemy invasion.
