Status update
Since some people are asking about the next version I thought I would give a quick update: I still need several more weeks to complete the tasks that I've got planned. Right now I'm projecting early August for a release. As always, this could change, but that is the most likely date right now. I've ...

I probably say this every other version, but this time, I think I've finally fixed the problem. Expect the change in the next version. For those who are curious, here is the problem: There are two ways to tell if a ship has hit the barrier: Method A: See if the center of the ship is inside the barri...

My last name is Japanese (specifically, Okinawa)
As for the hall thruster, I don't really know very much. My cousin's husband worked on it at Princeton. It's basically a kind of ion thruster.

In my opinion, taking Transcendence graphics and using them in Continuum is not the same as creating an online version of Transcendence. Nevertheless, I have no problems with you doing that, as long as you respect my copyright in the following ways: 1. Display the following text somewhere: "Transcen...

You have a score greater than 1,000,000? That's pretty impressive. I suppose I'll have to increase the width in the high score list again.Anonymous wrote:The PrtScrn button doesn't seem to be mapped to print the screen out to a file. I am using XP.
PS: sorry for late reply, and the number is actually 004505.

It works fine for me. A few questions: 1. What version of Transcendence are you running? 2. What OS are you using (Windows 9x or Windows XP)? 3. Do you have the Tahoma font installed? Also, if you possibly can, could you send me a screenshot of the problem? Just press PrtScn and paste into a bitmap ...

My original intent was that the Wolfen would be the easiest and the freighter would be the hardest (with the Sapphire in the middle). The reality is not that simple. I think the Wolfen is the easiest in the early systems, but towards the end of the game, the freighter is easier (because it has more ...

Good question--and thanks for the interest. I think it would not be too difficult to port. I do not use DirectX for anything except bltting to the screen. Most of the graphics code just writes to a 16BPP buffer. That said, I would not expect anything any time soon. Substantially post-1.0 is a good s...

Just to be clear, what I mean is that there will be a function call that will remove any object from the system. And that includes planets and asteroids.Yugimotomanager wrote:Including planets and asteroids?
But it will not be possible for the player to destroy planets and asteroids in the next version.
