Re: Community Census

It should technically be Sex, not Gender, as gender refers to an abstract concept of self-identification, while sex refers to your chromosomes. (Basically if you have a Y chromosome or not). Still, we have a community map, so I think that the location part of this is rather redundant. There should ...

Community Census

So, I was wondering the other day, what kind of statistics this forum and it's community would have. On another forum I saw what basically accounted to an A/S/L poll. I know a lot of people don't like sharing sensitive personal info on the internet, and thus most of us don't have A/S/L on our forum ...

He didn't actually...the format was BOLD - ITALICS. He did BOLD&UNDERLINE - Plain Text.

But whatever, it's not critical. :D

Re: [mod idea+work help] Hive behavior

*btw* Drako, this sounds really cool, and I can't wait to see the finished result. Thanks. :D My plan with this is to simulate an organic insect behavior: swarming (as discussed here) feeding (asteroids?) and natural selection (getting better weapons on a random chance, then getting them ...

Day before TSB final full release. "Sorry guys, I just realised I made a wee mistake.....I need to completely redo the timeline again. Yeah, again...sorry!" *stabbity noises* (:P ) More like, *Day of TSB final full release* Wolfy - "Hey guys, TSB is done now." Us - *silence because we're ...

Re: Transcendence Pastebin - Radical Changes

Aha! I found the thread! :D I just want to say that the Neurohack Pastebin is AWESOME! Thanks so much for getting that up and running George, and Alterecco! Finally, we are starting to get our own, nice looking community sites...pastebin was one that was still lingering about, and this one is ad-fre...

Re: Galactic Map mod

The only mod that is purely based around the Galactic Map function, is My mod here. It will only work if you 1.04 or 1.05 . The Galactic Map function is gathering popularity, and the latest use is in The Network by Drako Slyith . To use it, in-game, press [M], then [G]. That should be it. I hope tha...

Re: [mod idea+work help] Hive behavior

Ummm. Did i miss something, or is that new pastebin AWESOME? Sorry to derail the thread, but that's the first time I've seen the new pastebin - I didn't think George went ahead and did that. That's seriously cool - we have a nice Transcendence themed pastebin of our own AND it highlights stuff. Pure...

Re: LEGO ship Yellowjacket

I'd like to see you overwrite the WreckEjecta graphics and change it to random bits of LEGO. So when you shoot something, it ejects lego. Or, make your own (should be easy), so only when a LEGO ship is hit, does the LEGO eject. That way, if you start overwriting other enemy ships in a LEGO Total Con...

Transcendence Adoration Thread

Why do we love Transcendence? What is it that makes us love this game, that makes us mod for it, that makes us belong to this forum despite the fact that we should probably be doing something just slightly more productive with our time, and above all, what is it that draws us to each and every new ...

Re: "Unable to load system" Error Message

Its not the internet browser, trust me. I have had over 300 tabs open, complete with plenty of youtube tabs, maxing out at 3.5GB of ram usage by firefox & flash combined. And Transcendence worked perfectly fine. Usually its lower, at 2.0GB, and as of last month, I've been working on keeping it belo...

Just got 3.6.16...the updated webpage you go to tells you about FF4. x_x

Firefox 4 released

Firefox 4 is now out - get it here . Bizarrely, if you are on 3.6 or so, it won't tell you the version is available...I only found out through Wikipedia that it was released a few days ago. It looks nice and flash, and supposedly has a whole bunch of new security, privacy and ease-of-use tweaks, and...

Re: "Unable to load system" Error Message

Yeesh, nasty lookin' error there...I never have seen that kind of issue before...ordinarily, internet tabs wouldn't cause issues with the RAM, because most web pages only refresh on intervals, or just sit in your cache so you can view it. However, if you are buffering video, that is an extremely tax...
