The one thing I haven't brought up yet is that when in a melee at the Arena, you can end up fighting an enemy with a laser deflector, while only being equipped with a laser. Should this be considered a game flaw, or a user error?

The only way out, as far as I know, is to self destruct.

I've noticed in the arena that it will warn you sometimes that your weapon can't penetrate the opponent's defenses and ask if you are sure you want to fight them.

Yeah, but this was in a melee. I had no way of knowing.

Also, I noticed a problem with the starfield:

A noticable enough cosmetic bug that I think warrants an RC10/fix in 1.0 - also, on a slightly related note, I think that the old screenshots should be updated.
