George doesn't want to have people download unstable betas (1.02.... had issues).
Play 1.07a because it's the latest and pretty stable, not to mention the many mods that need it as well as the gamoley changes from 1.01 (like Ventari being needed nerfed in 1.07 compared to 1.01).
