Ugh. Timezones. Well if you two happen to find that you're awake at 2-3 am in the morning, we'd be happy to have you guys join.

I've managed to stay up until 1 before, but caffeine has no effect on me (alien DNA, as my dad says) so it's rather difficult to not fall asleep on the keyboard after that. :?

https://forums.kronosaur.com/viewforum.php?f=34 <— That’s a link to the IRC webclient that’s set up. It’s a good alternative for people who don’t visit frequently (or spend years on end logged on through an actual IRC client — guilty as charged).

IRC Day will be happening on Sunday May 17th @ 2PM PST
Timezone/Attendance Information: Click here
Are we talking 14:00 PST? (UTC -8:00) or PDT (UTC -7:00)?
The link to the Timezone Information mentions PDT, while the OP mentiones PST?

Maybe make quote the time in UTC instead?

Let's do 9 PM GMT (2 PM PDT). These events usually last 2 hours, so Tokyo and Austrialia will be just getting up (on the following Monday) towards the end of the session.
OP had a typo, apparently.

GMT is a bit ambiguous as well (GMT can observe Daylight saving changes) but 2 PM PDT indicates that George means 21:00 hours UTC/GMT+0.

PST And PDT are roughly equivalent. That site will automatically convert the time for you.

It's starting ~23 hours from the time of this post, running for three hours. Easy conversion for peeps. :P

They are in winter. In summer the difference is one hour, unless you live in Metlakatla, Alaska. So, if I used PST for calculating the time as shown on the clock on my wall, I would be roughly on time, but more precisely, I would have missed the first hour of the event : )

But, the issue has been solved by now anyhow.

Well, I created it by selecting local time, and then publishing it. So... If it doesn't work, I'm going to say its probably the site. :(

It is the site! it automatically changes the time zone (based upon the location I think) for time zones with daylight saving changes in effect.
