I am a pilgrim. I am a paragon of Domina. I am an instrument of Domina's wrath against humanity. I encountered the Centauri Warlords, and in an effort to help the inhabitants of Eridani, I destroyed them and broke their tyrannical rule. I also encountered the Anarchists, and although I sympathized with their cause, they attacked me viscously with their turbolasers and my autons and I responded in kind with our own weapons. The Charon Pirates tried to destroy me, as well as the freighters that I became known for escorting, but I scattered the wreckage of their ships also. Various asteroid miners, marauders, and the death drug cartel tried to end my life, but their lives were ended, as was the will of Domina. The Dwarg mostly kept to themselves, but those who did oppose me did not do so for long. However, there were few residents of the so called "Ungoverned Territories" who I slaughtered with as much gusto as the Sung Slavers. I have seen the slave camps, I have destroyed the slave camps. I have seen the fortresses, I have destroyed the fortresses. And although I have yet to encounter a citadel, I have no doubt that my brand new Fusionfire howitzer will rip apart their damned lairs most capably, although it taxes the 150 NX on my Sapphire Yacht more than I would like. The exploits of the slavers disgusts me in a way I cannot possibly relate to you here, in pleasant company.

Imagine my pleasure at finding the Huari friendly to me, and the horror at what the slavers had done to them. I befriended the Huari immediately and soon after, was sent by them to to their most sacred and secret stronghold: Huamarca. Shortly after speaking with the Huari leader, we were beset by a truly awe-inspiring wave of Slavers. I tried, believe me I tried... but I was loosing the battle. There were too many. I was left with no other choice. I said goodbye to Rama, and called upon domina to shatter my enemies. The sheer fury of the attack surprised even me, I had never seen anything like it. It vaporised Rama instantly, but it also destroyed most of sung attack force. Sadly, one Huari station was also caught in the blast. It was unfortunate, but I could see no other way to save it. The remaining sung were defeated quickly, leaving us victorious. An agricultural station once told me that it had never seen anyone fight like I did. If they could have seen this...

Only the Dragon Slaver stood against me. I tried to defeat it with my own weapons, but neither I nor the Huari could kill it. I called upon Domina once again to unleash a circle of wrath. The slaver was destroyed. I had accomplished the impossible, no, I had accomplished a feat beyond the impossible in the name of Domina, and with her glorious help. Unfortunately, although I had saved the last Huari stronghold, and succeeded where no one else could possibly have hoped, the Huari attacked me with a vengeance for the loss of their station, and although I tried to apologize, they would not forgive. I knew what I had done, or perhaps I did not fully understand, but my heart did grieve for them, truly. I knew at least, that there were...many people on that station. I flew by the temple one last time on my way out, in an one last attempt to attain forgiveness, as well as to salvage something useful from the wreckage of the Sung that Domina had destroyed for me. But then...I was greeted with the greatest, most brutal, most shocking attack I have ever been met with. In a desperate act of what can only be described as sheer idiotic wrath, they destroyed their own station, along with what must have been its several million inhabitants. The sheer force of the explosion of thousands of their own people dying to destroy me, to end the one who saved them. My quadrocarbide has bought me some time, but I do not believe that Domina has the will to save me now...

*Hull Breach Imminent*

Why, oh why did they do this, I will never fully understand...

[End Transmission, Captain's Log]

(This was while playing through "impossible difficulty", which I had until then succeeded in not dying)

I'd really appreciate if the Huari were a bit more forgiving given their dire circumstances.

Also, I didn't really set out to write fan-fiction when I began writing this.

I'm kinda confused, this sounds like Fan Fic but a feature request at the same time?

Great fanfic! One question: why did you not use sustain, or at least mention it?
Yeah, the problem you described there is a special failing of the ai. I don't know how to fix it-- [I think it is the same mechanism as the station 'blacklisting' the player, so it would be a game engine thing], although it would be a good mod to have forgiving Huari.

I used sustain, but my concern was for the huari rather than for my own life during the invasion, and while the huari were shooting at me, I didn't think I was about to die, until the vengeful bastards blew up their own station. It was actually a combination of sustain and circle of wrath that I used to kill the dragon. I hardly used my own weapons in that fight, since they were insufficient.

I actually think I know how to disable it for certain missions, since it would likely be a script in an <onDestroy> tag.

I started writing this as just a description of an event as I played it, and then I realized that the hate and the sorrow which I had briefly described would read very well in story form. This started out as a description of what happened and a: "I think something isn't quite right here" statement, sort of like a feature request but without anything really specific requested. Its essentially a feature request, in story form.

Wow. I love the drama. I was playing that part last night in Huamarca. I think it's a sad fate for a once powerful empire. Is it ok to just leave them to their fate? My Fusion Fire weapon and tons of 3k siege MAGS did me no help for I think I died about 20 times from the hands of the Dragon.

The first time I got to Huaramarca, I found the stargate without being invited. It was on one of those missions they send you on to retrieve the slaves out of the Sung trasport. The transport flew right by the gate...

In my most recent game, I was invited, but I stashed the drugs to get me there in a crate on a planet... which then got blown up when half a dozen Britannias fired their Lucifers at three Sandstorms flying by the planet :/
