Here is a collection of poems that I've been writing at home on Transcendence. I've written all the poems but I've given credit to the characters in TM.

For anyone who decides to waste their time reading these, I'd love it if you could add more poems in the comments- please do mention what type of poem it is.
I'll copy and add the poems here with credits.

NOTE:- These are mature poems written for an adult audience so expect adult language. Reader discretion is advised.

POEMS OF BATTLE

"The pirates fly their ships at our freighters...
They yearn for loot and cargo...
But today we'll fill their Frigates with craters...
For begun, has the pirate embargo...

We'll plow into their ships yes! uproot their pesky stations...
They won't know what hit them, they'll cower in the devastation...
On Wolfen! On Freighter! On ye sluggish Sapphires!!
For today the destruction of pirates begins, burn they shall in fires...

The Kronosaur! Ye yell in horror...
Fear not this ship of shame....
Even death we accept in honor...
Of her we'll let nothing remain...
"
A Poem by a Journeyman in Korolov Shipping

2)
"
Rescue ye for-me the slaves!
Fight with all your honor!
Lay before me the Sung-graves!
Let me hear their screams of horror!

For centuries we have been oppressed!
But the time of slavery is done!
For as the elders of the fort professed!
A pilgrim to save us, has come!

Give him ye the Huari Destroyers!
Arm his Wolfen with weapons divine!
For today we drink with him Sung blood!
As sweet tasting as red wine!

A song by the Huari High Priest when a pilgrim came to rescue them.

3) "
Decker stands before us...
With the Terra in his command...
But this day he cannot ignore us...
For united we shall stand...

Aquilas stand ready to kill...
Their missiles armed and ready...
For us they are a mere thrill...
Our resolve shall remain steady...

Our brother Calvin joins the battle...
His Frostbite, a lethal snake...
He warns Decker with his deadly rattle...
It's Decker's blood he'll take....

Today we fight not-an enemy simple...
The Fleet before us is large...
Of fearfulness, let there be no wrinkle...
My brethren, I bid ye CHARGE!!!"
"
A song of Michael Anderson while confronting the Commonwealth Fleet

4)

Hear me now my Ares brethren!
Decker taunts us with great force!
Fight today for your women and children!
Fight this coward with no remorse!

He prides in his Aquilas!
Yet he hides within the Terra!
He's taken away my Akira!
Now his flesh by piece I'll tear up!

Launch all of the Tundras!
Let loose the deadly Chasms!
Follow on my vicious Frostbite!
I'm a reaper and a phantasm!

Today is your end Conrad Decker!
You've destroyed the dreams of millions!
I'm coming at you like a zephyr!
I'll rip you into ribbons!

A poem by Calvin Taylor after the demise of Akira Gorbachev

-------- POEMS OF LOVE-------

MIKE
Fairest thou art O November...
A moon in the darkest night...
A song to forever remember...
The star of the morning light...

NOVA
Is that thou, O my fair prince?
Hast thou come for thy love?
For as the Europa yearned for Admiral Watson...
I longed for thee to come...

MIKE
You have been my shield my love...
Through the darkest situations...
Through vast swathes human space...
Through our countless tribulations...

NOVA
Our battles have been of sorrow...
Yes, the Europa today, did fall...
But there always is a tomorrow...
And with you, I'll see it's dawn...

A poem by Mike and Nova when they returned to Point Juno after the fall of the Europa

2)

This next poem has been heavily borrowed from the Biblical book 'Songs of Solomon'. Like the book itself, it does contain some sexual language but I felt it's a very pure expression of love.

MIKE
"You are the beginning of cosmic history...
A monument to behold...
Your body was til now a mystery...
Waiting eagerly to unfold...

Let me now open your harnesses...
Let me unpin those hooked gates...
Let me pull away those straps...
Let me see what wonders await...

Your hair is like the plasma stream...
That flows from my Manticore...
A wonder is your body November...
It leaves me craving for still more...

Your breasts are the moons of Incandescence...
They leave me in a state of Transcendence...
Your navel is a golden crater...
Created meticulously by your creator...

Embrace me now fair pilgrim...
Trouble me no more...
Let our bodies become a single rhythm...
Like the lovers that were of yore...

A poem by Michael Anderson when he and November made love for the first time in Point Juno

*** Will add more poems later.

---- POEMS OF SORROW

Cursed am I among men!
Tear my flesh apart!
I killed my own daughter!
I cut out my own heart!

Slay me brother Gordon!
Cut me down friend Tychus!
We've lost our beloved Jenna!
There is no anguish like this!

I promised to walk her down the isle!
I promised her a college education!
She loved me, I am her father...
She was my own creation!

Why Oh Calvin Taylor!?
Why have you taken away?
A young flower from my garden...
When your revenge was for me to pay...

Lamentation of Michael Anderson when Calvin Taylor allegedly killed his daughter Jenna Caesar

Don't do this to me Akira!
I cannot pull the trigger!
To slay my own beloved!
No punishment could be bigger!

Yet I cannot let Decker hold...
Your body in his wicked hands...
I will relieve you of this wicked life...
I will do as you command...

My punishment will be slow and deadly!
The pain will be vicious and grime!
I will make Conrad Decker pay!
For committing this fiendish crime!

I bid you farewell my love...
I'll be with you once I'm done...
Anderson and Decker will pay with blood!
For my retribution has already begun!

Calvin Taylor before shooting his beloved Akira Gorbachev when Admiral Decker attacked their Ares Commune

My life has been taken away...
My love has gone to die...
He fights against the Lamplighter...
With Taylor by his side...

Michael please come back...
Your Nova awaits in sorrow...
Oh Domina why did I sleep last night...
If I had to face this tomorrow....

A short poem by November after Michael and Calvin confronted the C.S.C Terra.
"Umm, I'm sorry I just killed your officer Akira, but he was getting on my nerves''
"Can I take his ship now?"

Calvin E. Taylor to Akira Gorbachev, the daughter of Ares Chief Admiral Vasily Gorbachev, after brutally killing one of her Tundra pilots.

THE ORIGINAL SONG OF THE REAPERS

In the black of nights,
When the banners fly,
And the shadows dance,
The reapers ride.
Unmoved,
By the darkness,
Closing around them,
Like a snake does,
On its prey,
The ride on.

Through rocks,
Over snows,
Under groves,
Where vines hang low,
The reapers usher,
Their steeds,
Towards uncertain death,
Or glory.
Yet they ride on,
Without a single glint,
Of terror in their,
Old wise eyes.

They live not,
For the realm or,
For the people but,
Only to follow,
The one they vow,
To protect with,
Their lives as,
The vow he takes,
Is to do same,
For them and,
To fight chaos,
And die if,
They must,
To fight another day,
On the other side,
With their lord.

Unflinching through the terrors,
The reapers ride through,
Gales of blood and,
Paths of bones.
Through the cries of,
The undying,
That forever moan,
In cold words,
For the salvation,
Yet to come.

Swords in hand,
The reapers ride gallant,
And strong are,
Their hearts because,
The one they face,
Is fear itself,
And face they can not face,
Fear itself with,
Only courage at hand.

Through nameless lands,
The reapers ride with,
The lord at their helm.
Fearless,
They ride on through,
Woods where no man,
Has ever dwelt.

Emerging through the shadows,
The reapers come and,
In the shadows back,
They melt...
