What do you think would make 1.0 great? Compared to all the other improvements that Transcendence has had do you think it will be very important?
When it does come I know I will be asking for the modding and function docs (I remember him saying after 1.0).
what makes 1.0 so special?

Is post 1.0 synonomous with post-heretic?
Or is 1.0 to be the version when the mechanics of the game are 'set' and post-heretic will be developed afterwards.
I think an area that is lacking is storyline, so that would be my vote/guess/theory for what makes 1.0 stand out from other versions: a (much) more solidified storyline.

After years of development, Transcendence 1.0 is finally ready to go mainstream. It becomes an overnight sensation, and before long sales of the PS3 and Wii tail off and then stop entirely as people spend every gaming minute trying to find that last piece of dodecacarbide armor (immune to antimatter, disintegration AND plasma). After a few months of incredible popularity, an enterprising forum reader uses the new mod tools to create a mod where the sisters of domina ask you if you want to come in for some hot coffee. There is widespread uproar among old people with nothing better to do with their time, and Transcendence sales suffer when it receives an ESRB:Mature rating. I hear that we might get some kind of multi-slot weapon thing, too.

What would make 1.0 great? No bugs!
>.<
I think that the lack of post-Heretic storyline should be called a bug.
I think that some keys and some way to move the camera view would be great, but that would make the game need 3D graphics, massively increasing the amount of CPU and video card power.

The universe is illogical. Get over it.

It's not a bug, it's a feature, Dosgamer.
Modular storyline lets George hash out the mechanics and such that he wants, without having to deal with changing two times or more as much stuff each time he does so.
