Yay 0.98 =)

Somehow the buff of the cannon accelerator and the laser collimator won't be added to the lower left screen ;) (but weapon has it)

This looks awesome. I haven't played in a while, but I'm totally going to check this out.

I love the new ship select screen- finally a use for playership descriptions!
(of course, I had to write some for the ships I didn't make descriptions for)

That reminds me, I have to update and breakdown my mod- I'm gonna split it into three files- one for xmls, two with images, which should make it easier to download/upload.

Sorry, I no longer have it :(

Anyways, it didn't crash with an error, it just crashed to the XP thing of "Would you like to send an error report?".

Btw, here's what you get if you help Admiral thingy....Decker, I think:

That looks pretty cool. I just picked up a blinder cannon. I don't remember seeing them in a previous version, and according to the TBD, they do blinding damage. I'll have to check it out.

Blinder cannons have been around for... AGES

Since before I was playing, at least.

Heh. That's odd. I don't remember seeing one in any of my previous games, and I've seen three six in the first four systems.

Not the first antimatter weapon. The QAC is antimatter.
Can the Lamplighter beat the Iocrym?
I haven't gotten to try it yet.

Well, with an IM90 and a a sizeable amount of effort I've actually managed to beat several of them.

Only when they've been on their own, though.

Anyways, they're not as strong as my first impressions showed.

does the Commonwealth Fortress have better stuff now? Before it rarely had anything now it has some good stuff. Is it just me? (with the new economy it makes it much more tempting to go through the missions) 8)

Yes, it has quite a few good new missions, but the new CSC ones are better :)

There's an easy new transport one, where you have to escort a new "Aurochs-class Transport" to the CSC. They're a lot speedier than the superfreighter.

Oh, and I was lucky enough in one of my new games to have two gates very close to each other, very easy CSC escort missions from gate to gate. Not so easy for destroying the Ares escort...

It certainly can! Just tried it out, beat the Iocrym in five minutes. It's like the QAC, but slightly stronger and not requiring longzhus.
It's also fast-firing, so you can sort of use it as an ICX if you don't have one (I didn't).

I just looked the xml. The Lamplighter isn't slighty stronger, it twice the damage, but WMD5 instead of 7. It uses 200MW; but still...What a base cracker!!!
Sort of makes the QAC obsolete?
How does that effect the role of the Sung Slavers in the overall game now?

I think the Sung are still pretty important, since they are a good source of longzhu, which are less important now that the QAC isn't the strongest weapon, but more important now that you increase weapon strength by 150% using 13 longzhu spheres! :)

Talking of base crackers, the Fusionfire has a new weapon shot. In my opinion, the old shot looked better (and a lot more powerful)...

I don't think it makes the QAC obsolete, since the LLC is, like, RIDICULOUSLY hard to get - you need to be a Fleet Captain in the CSC Fleet (which is also very difficult) just to get the mission that you need to complete in order to be able to even get it...
Though there is another way to get it, but I won't tell anyone (I had gotten it earlier but you have to give it up). It's unknown when you find is this time, too.

If anyone wants less ambiguous information on all of this, PM me.
