Apotamo says after saving the Huari from the Sung that everything is destroyed if the character / player succeeds? Whats the plan with that and how will it play out? Is it like some revenge thing with the Iocrym?

If anyone has ideas, I'm curious.

Well, it's all guesses and speculation, and if you've ever played banjo-kazooie/tooie from the N64, you may have found out about the rare-witch-project and stop n' swop, with the former devoted to hacking to discover beta secrets and other hidden stuff of the latter. They don't take kindly to goofy tinhat-esq SNS ideas, mostly since they are... unsubstantiated goofy tinhat ideas.
And they are probably more substantiated then what I'd say, but thing is, you're going to the core, and so domina's there, right? and... yeah.

I was kinda thinking along the lines Atarlost was... everyone disappears because either they flee or they go towards the core or it could very well be everyone just merges with Domina or some strange stuff like that.

Or maybe the universe just peters out (it's going to eventually, entropy will eventually end everything. It might start up again, you just have to wait for the quantum flux to be just right to create another big-bang type anomaly).
[schilcote] It doesn't have to be good, it just has to not be "wow is that the only thing you could think of" bad

Not really: It doesn't apply because the universe is NOT a constant system. Because it is expanding, and the zero-point is slowly lowering because of that, entropy will always have lower and lower to go.

If expansion is accelerating the rate of cosmic expansion will eventually exceed c and particle interactions will cease to be possible. If the universe is closed it will eventually collapse upon itself. If expansion is decelerating but the universe is open expansion must tend towards zero and entropy is dominant. Constant expansion is unstable because cosmic expansion dilutes gravity.

You can't win. You can't break even. You can't get out of the game.

You just lost the game. Dang! Now I just lost the game! Well, now everyone reading this post lost the game.

Approaching 0 isn't zero. Though it is but a technicality, that is what I'm talking about. After a certain point though you can get infinite series for operations completed in an amount of time from time T to time infinity that approach numbers less than 1 however, and thus at that point, the universe is effectively dead because for any operation, even given an infinite amount of time, it will never complete. Thus logically, yes, it does die in that sense.

Then again, we could be completely wrong in how we see the universe... Who knows what discoveries the future holds. Perhaps we're just a whole lot of cosmic waffle batter. :P Yeah. I'm hungry.

Or perhaps the universe itself inhabits a space that loops back on itself (think mobius strip or Klein surface). The result is a closed universe that simply collapses on itself on the opposite side of the space (for a 3D analogy, say the big bang started on the north pole of a sphere, everything will coalesce roughly around the south pole).

Just thought about that one the other day... pretty sure someone's already proved it wrong though D:

According to string theory and/or M theory, our universe is situated on a brane, like a sheet of paper. It is currently impossible to know what shape that brane is, although I agree with Wurmish that it most likely is a sphere.

Some theorize that the big bang occured when our brane contacted another, matter and energy flowed across from the other and that was the fabled T=0 moment. The black holes in our universe could also be creating other, parallel universes/branes after the singularities reach a critical point and literally tear our universe a new backdoor.

Thus, our universe WILL end, with most of the matter and energy falling through singularities and the rest simply freezing in the vast emptiness left behind.

Michio Kaku has some great vids on youtube as does Stephen Hawkingalthough his are much more technical and difficult to understand if you aren't already have a post doctorate in quantum chromodynamics.

The gravity gradient is going to tturn anything that passes through it into subatomic soup. How are you going to tell escaping matter from hawking radiation?

That is one of the biggest problems in physics, the event horizon is where general relativity meets quantum physics and the "Theory of Everything" is needed to understand what happens to matter and energy in a black hole.
All black holes rotate and thus produce at least some radiation, if gravity does in fact travel through hyperspace (more than just our 3 spatial dimensions) could they be radiating matter and energy into those dimensions as well?

Perhaps Domina exists on one of those higher dimesnional planes and uses the super massive black hole at the centre of the galaxy like a worm hole, not able to fully materialize in our pitiful 3 dimensions but simply to communicate. The player (being a 3 dimensional creature) is able to travel to her dimension where Domina instructs you to bring all those that are willing to her to live in her dimension (heaven/Nirvana/Valhalla etc.) Thus, the player becomes the Prophet/Shepherd leading the believers/Sheep to salvation in a very literal way?
