Jenna took some damage on the 18th system and turned around and started flying home. She said " That's it, I'm going back home". Or something like that. When I ask her status, she says " I made up my mind, I'm going home".
Is it scripted for this to happen in late systems? Or can I work around it? Maybe just keep her from getting hurt, but I don't see that happening.lol

Yes. After Eta Ceti, once Jenna takes damage, she leaves for good. The only way you can stop this is not let her shields collapse in the first place. Weak as her shields are, her shields will collapse at some point. Being a load, it is best to let her go. (I would decline her offer to join if I did not need her help for early escort missions.)
Volkov will leave if he finds his wife's wrecked EI500 ship. It may spawn anywhere between St. K's and Point Juno (but never in Huaramarca). It is not guaranteed to spawn, so if he cannot find it, he will not leave.

I've completed alot of those escort missions, but I dont know about all of them.

And if you fail just one escort mission for Korolov, your only way to reach Legend is to destroy the Kronosaurus. In a training game, I wanted to see how many missions I could fly before reaching Legend. It took 29 missions without a single failure. Should you destroy the Kronosaurus later after reaching Legend, you get no other reward.
Once the Kronosaurus spawns, it will chase you relentlessly as long as you remain in the system. It has blast plate for armor, so it is tougher to kill than other frigates.
