Korolov Station Under Construction- -Can you Save It?

The station that gets blown up and is getting fixed when you come back is the one I'm talkin about. Is that scripted or can you actually stop it from blowing up? My reason is I never got the guy that you get when you complete all Korolov missions. I went back and couldn't find any missions that weren't completed so I'm stuck without getting my other wingman.

Also, since it is being rebuilt will it ever be operational again in a playthrough?

I can't save it, but others can. I guess you need to fly a well equipped wolfen with Volkov at your side, I generally don't qualify for either.

I don't think it is ever operational again.

I'm not talkin about the station that's in the second or so system. I know that one can be saved. I'm talking about the one that looks like it has multiple launch runways and it's all blownup and they thank you for protecting them. Then when you leave the system and come back they have done some work on it but it never gets completed. It's somewhere between the 5th and 10th system I'd say.

Volkov is nowhere to be found and I have completed all the missions I think. I went and backtracked to all the korolov shipping stations and I can't find any missions that I haven't done already. So I figured that I shouldn't have let the station I'm talking about get blown up. I don't know. This sucks though bcuz I need Volkov...

Is this still true for 1.03 that there is no reward for saving the station, just for avenging the people there if the station gets destroyed?

I do not believe that to be the case. In testing modded ships, I have both saved the station, and received a reward. Once I received a rom chip, another time I received a shield. If you save the station, then dock with it twice, the message will change from them telling you to destroy every Charon station, to telling you how many stations are left. At least that is what I have come across in playing 1.0.3. Now I am not playing a vanilla game; I use the mods of others as well as myself, so that will naturally affect the game play. Anyhow, I hope that helps.
