What's a good weapon for my Wolfen setup below?
--Wolfen
--25MW
--Cyclotron LvIII shield (120HP + 20% == 144)
--3x Plasteel armour, 1 x light plasteel
--NAMI launcher (out of missiles)
--Dual Laser Cannon
I'm in the third system from game start, and the system is full of Uraks. (I hate them) And Corsair-II/Viking-IIs. Previous system had an awesome armour dealer, but no weapon dealer in sight. Commonwealth is well stocked, though.
Only have 600creds to my name, but can get more cash fairly quickly.
EDIT -- Now have $3100 , waiting around for a reply before I move on. Really want to take down the Uraks before I leave the system.
Good weapon in early game.

This is a bit outdated but same topic
IMO, if you can get one: PK25 Morning Star
Awesome when used right.

Thanks Amilir!
There aren't any really bad choices from level 3-5 except the laser array, omni laser, penitent cannon, and actinide waste cannon. If you avoid those you're okay for now. Higher level is obviously better. Slam cannon and particle beam are weaker than laser and kinetic of the same level. Ballista's touchy because of the low speed, but if you can hit with it it's nice. If you can't it's another to avoid.
Urak stuff is iffy too, especially the mass drivers. They seriously lack range.

I use Rasiermesser SmartCannon with Cannon Accelerator. It suits me up to Charon.
Sorry for my poor english
Last cause of death: arena opponent + crappy Cyclotron shield generator (I was insured).

That one's worth keeping as long as ammo holds out in place of an Omni. I've used the RK15, which does the same damage, through Sung space. The SmartCannon probably won't take you as far because you won't be able to buy shells, but if you keep the accelerator it should be good against Wind Slavers.

I ended up going with the AK15, but now regret the purchase....so will have to sell and get something else.
Running out of cash now !!
I hate anything slow ( like the AK15, as I just realised) and am thinking laser/particle is up my alley. If i could get the cash, I'd buy a Shuriken, as I've used it before up until way after St.Kat's.
Any know of a economic weapon on a cost-to effectiveness ratio?
Thanks!

Dual-turbolasers or turbolasers are good if you can get them.
As a last resort, a bollide or dual laser (or a fast-fire if you REALLY can't afford anything else) will surfice for Korolov missions until you can afford something better.
