I have found that I enjoy discussion topics so I made one (plus I need a place to post regularly to rank up). I'll start us off, when you play through T, mods or not, what is your play style? Do you clear out every system and buy big weapons early on? Are you a scavenger that simply drifts from system to system waiting to luck out? Or maybe you are an opportunist that waits for battles to happen or even cause battles between hostiles and friendlies, then loots the wreckage?

I would say I am an opportunist, whenever I have some extra fuel and the chance arises I try to get huari destroyers to hit molotok bounty hunters and watch as they battle each other, of course the destroyer wins but if the molotok hits a docked manticore they also join the fight and then things get interesting.

I take my time through the early game and clear out every system but when I'm rich I just speed through mindlessly killing whatever with an APA (somehow I always manage to get it during serious playthroughs )

Location: Heretic. (Finally!)

I guess my playing style would be a completist type. I try to do every missions to the maximum rank(except the blackmarket. Somehow I don't like them much.) and I usually try to find every ultimate weapons and items there is(Lamplighter, Quianlong, APA, Fracture, NAMI Heavy, Jumpdrive, a shield that could stand a full APA shot, and more if I use mods) and only engage the boss when I have them all.(Quite pointless isn't it?) Still, if it's too hard in some game, like when I can't find the Antarctica in a Network game, sometimes I skip out of boredom. :D
Yes, look at my avatar, I have a wyvera type ship.

Win the game at all costs by any means necessary. That is all.
Download and Play in 1.9 beta 1...
Drake Technologies (Alpha): More hardware for combat in parts 1 and 2!
Star Castle Arcade: Play a classic arcade game adventure, with or without more features (like powerups)!
Playership Drones: Buy or restore exotic ships to command!

Other playable mods from 1.8 and 1.7, waiting to be updated...
Godmode v3 (WIP): Dev/cheat tool compatible with D&O parts 1 or 2.

I mess around and see how I can beat, break or complete the game.

This has previously involved:

-Going through the game without firing a non-EMP weapon at another ship.
-Farming massive amounts of cash to as to have a Xenophobe Lancer at St.K's
-More simple conducts like 'No lasers' or "Only three damage types used".

And I always play permadeath.

In terms of how I play each system...it really depends what I'm trying to do. When I'm doing anything *really* challenging, I'll usually backtrack and clear things out, but some stations I just won't bother with half the time due to poor loot/risk ratio (looking at you, Urak mines).

SUBJECT CHANGE!

What equipment do you like to use? A specific set? Or maybe whatever you find?

I like the NAMI Standard launcher, which is why I always:
a) Start with Wolfen
b)Not remove it until herectic

I like anything in dual configuration, or lots of damage(looking at you APA)(type(looking at you archcannons))

I have to admit that I haven't yet "developed" a playstyle so to say because I am still trying to get the "perfect" modpack together and working but when I do play for any amount of time I do have several blanket conducts:
No Powers
No Fabricator
No killing friendlies for loot (even if you can get away with it)
No selling military weapons to the black market
No baiting enemy capital ships to destroy friendly stations so you can steal the loot (it's ok if this happens by accident)

oh yeah and I usually play until I suffer armor damage... it's sorta a form of premature permadeath...

"I like energy weapons and tracking missiles powerful shields, and fast turning ships
I admired an exquisitely crafted macbook pro today. I ate a fine meal today
I am slow to anger, patient though slow to work.
I don't require hard cider to make it through the working day."

Adding a rolling stock to the train.

I admit I spend more game-time testing out (my own) mods than actually playing, unless it's a turn in the succ.

There are a few general rules that I play by, though:
1) No Domina Powers, I am not a magical girl.
2) No Halo gems, they are too random and rare to be relied upon.
3) No pirating, I still want to dock with CW stations.
4) No smuggling except bootleg Star Wars 3DVs, drugs are bad and Disney does not deserve the Star Wars franchise. Greedy Mouse, Greedy Mouse, Greedy, greedy Mouse!
5) Complete all sidequests to the fullest and reload if failed, being a pilgrim doesn't mean you watch on as helpless people die.
6) No fabricators, I don't want to be tentacle-raped before my time because I dropped the wrong chunk of trash into that goddamned pit.
7) Always free and return slaves to the CW or Domina, I don't do it for the tidbits, I do it because it needs to be done.
8) Always clear systems out of enemies before moving on, I want as much loot as I can get my hands on.
9) Never enrage the BM unless they are already mad at me, I don't want the Yakuza going after me with 100cm-long katanas.
10) Slade does not exist, do not think that anything can be made out of it.
Has resurfaced!
