No missions?

I just started a new (vanilla) game. So far I made it past st. Kats no problem.
However one thing is strange. The only Korolov station so far was the one in Charon. Ususally there is at least one Korolov station before Charon. So no way to do missions for Korolov or to get company from Volkov. In all the years I've been playing this has never happened.
Another odd thing, the militia has no missions yet. The militia in st Kats never had a mission for me, even when I hadn't explored the system when first entering. Going to see if the militia in the following sytems do have missions....

Lot of Tinkers though, very nice. They crafted me a Dual mk3. The two Makayev stores in Rigel were very conveniant to deliver the needed supplies, and the arena provided the credits needed. It has been very usefull against everything so far. Blowing up a Charon fortress in 4 shots is kind of fun :D Only drawback so far is its energy use. It draws a lot out of the 100MW, hope to find a bigger reactor soon, looking out for a BM shipyard.

Onwards to the core....

Both of these things happen from time to time. Just bad luck, it seems.

Don't worry, the militia missions are easier now with the addition of internal HP for the Superfreighters. If you want Rama, you'll all but certainly be able to get him with the first base you encounter.

Finally got a few missions from the militia. So no more worries about military items in my cargo hold. Promptly got the military ID after the first mission. They also had the SN2500, this makes using the dual MK3 a lot easier (no more refueling after each battle). Now spamming Ingenuity to get it upgraded (No hexagene boosters in the game yet) I got lucky on the first militia mission, a sung freighter with escort needed to be destroyed before reaching the stargate. This was easy and the transport had enough slaves on board to give me fifth tier Domina powers...... :lol:
