There are known inefficiencies with how nebulae are being rendered., should be getting fixed.

Can I suggest rather than manually recording system specifics simply post a link to a (current!) Dxdiag? This contains all info necessary, including driver versions
FWIW my system hasn't had any problems as yet, other than an irritating 'stepping' effect when using the autopilot in the map, but I haven't dealt with any major battles yet
A little out of date (due to gfx drivers auto-updating) but https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByYQ6 ... authuser=0 should give the general idea..

First run:
05/18/2015 21:38:16 Graphics quality maximum: 78 ms; 4 cores.
Afterwards:
05/18/2015 22:14:15 Graphics quality maximum: 62 ms; 4 cores.
No noticeable performance issues so far.
