After playing EP for a while now i wanted to try a pilgrim to the stars again. However, i only found one korolov shipping station and im already in st. Katharin's, and it didn't have any missions available. The militia headquarter will not give me any missions because i'm not an experienced pilot ( did a hole lot of corporate missions doe). How should i continue from here ?

I think you need to kill 100 ships to be considered an experienced pilot (not sure on that one though).

Commonwealth fortresses in later systems can also offer you missions to get an ID so you don't really need to worry about it right away.

If Korolov is not an option, become a gladiator in Battle Arena, then visit Militia HQ.

This. It's the fastest way if Korolov isn't working out.

I believe defending an agricultural station also works.

That said, I did my first successful permadeath game without ever getting military ID. I was also doing no backtracking, so by the time I realized I hadn't met the requirements for militia missions, it was too late. It wasn't a huge problem thanks to Black Market shipyards, although I did get my heavily enhanced Fusionfire confiscated, leaving me with an omni ion as my only weapon for a couple systems.

To gain access to Militia Command Center, player must have any one of the following:
* Militia rank greater than zero.
* Battle Arena skill rating greater than 200.
* Korolov XP greater than 0.
* Have any Military ID. (This includes Eternity Port's new IDs such as Eurasian Diarchy's Letter of Marque.)

For Battle Arena, when player becomes gladiator, he starts with skill rating of 200. Just win one battle to get more skill to qualify.

For Korolov, a successful mission should be enough. Just don't get blacklisted by killing your freighter.

Getting CW Military ID early is possible in Charon (from rebuilt Korolov station) or from random loot (very rare, but possible). Those in Eternity Port can get different yet equivalent ID from Earth factions.

I didn't know it was that easy. I guess I've been looking for Rigel in Beyond the Mainline for no reason.

I just checked the XML, and it looks like succeeding in the mission to destroy the Charon stronghold grants Korolov experience points. If I remember correctly, discovering the stronghold outside of the system and then docking at a Korolov station sets that mission up whether or not there are any escortable freighters available.

In 1.6, for some reason, using a system map ROM sometimes discovers the stronghold for me. It's possible that one of the mods I'm using is messing up the way the ROM is supposed to work. But it does sound like a way to not have to go all the way back to Rigel. I suppose it's also possible to track enemy ships to the edge of the system to find the stronghold, though I've never tried that method (I usually prefer to escort freighters and use up the missions before destroying the stronghold).

If you know about the Charon stronghold in the system, Korolov will always send a mission to destroy it. For that reason, do NOT use map or unknown ROMs if there is a Korolov station in the system because you may lose valuable escort missions (that give credits and other rewards).

In vanilla, a map ROM should never discover the primary Charon stronghold, since they're uncharted. It may discover other strongholds.

Edit: Military map ROMs will find all enemy stations and Charon base maps will find all Charon bases, though.
