Transcendence has issues playing certain files

#1: Screen flickers when you play .mp4 files with UIPlayMusic
I tried playing a .mp4 file and the game flickers like it wants to give me a seizure. To reproduce just play an .mp4 file and the issue will be there.
It also plays from the upper left corner of the game and I'd like to be able to control where the file plays (but this isn't necessary since I don't think we need to play movies right now, but maybe an intro trailer or something later on in the road?)

#2: I filter all of the music selection with UICanPlayMusic but somehow Transcendence has issues playing .avi files when it says that it can. Nothing shows up, and all there is is silence.

*edit: After rereading I realize that this is probably grammatically confusing but I'm too sleep deprived to make a better fix (aka the fix will be worse).
