Charon pirate is assigned to a Korolov station.

Funny story, killing it (them, it keeps respawning after the station's own units kill it) causes the station (and the ships around it) to turn hostile towards you. :/

Whoa. Strange! Have you got a save file that reproduces the problem, by any chance?

Sent a link to your PM box.

::EDIT::

Side-note: Sometimes I'd get missions (only for that one station, so far) where freighters had an AI escort assigned, as well.

Totally crazy. I can't quite figure out how that happened.

Two questions:

1. When you say that the Corsair "respawns" what do you mean? Where does it come from?

2. Are there any interesting errors in your Debug.log file?

Thanks--definitely a puzzle.

1)

I'm not sure where it comes from, but it's probably one of the gates. That's why I was confused the first time that the station went hostile to me.

It seems to act like a friendly unit towards the korolov station, but not vice-versa.

2)

Aside from the 2.2Mb of Painter creator errors....

Several of these: 'scrShowScreen: Cannot find screen: Main ### (scrShowScreen gScreen gPrevScreen gPrevPane) ###'.

And one of these: 'Integer expected: Default ### (scrShowPane "Default") ###'.

I have not seen this bug with the Corsair....but I HAVE done an escort mission where a late-model Ronin class was escorting the freighter as well. Quite convenient, really........but not supposed to happen, I think. It only happened once, however.
