[Closed] [Possible Bug] Ferrian Warship spamming

I was minding my business, farming ferians, and in comes a warship. My common procedure is to hide on a planet near a station, so they can get rid of it. Unfortunately, my shields were almost gone, so I went to a nearby moon, near the station. Then, another comes out. And another. And another. Soon I have 8 warships shooting at me, and more on the way. Plus I have several wrecks of them scattered around the area. In the code, I believe the game limits it to 3 per hive. This feels like a bug, as I certainly will have problems escaping. They keep coming, like clockwork.

Sounds like a bug. I've just started up ferian farming and only 2-3 warriors come out of the hive -- I lure them to a nearby comm fortress to get minced.

Would it even be possible to escape 8 warriors? Good luck... >.>

I only have 2 mods running, and neither interfere with any enemies. I have a screenshot of it, I just can't figure out how to post it here. Somehow, photobucket doesn't think I'm eligible to sign up

Use the file attachment option when you go to post on the forum. Go on. Do it and you will see the option. Use MS Paint or Paint.net or similar to make the file a reasonable size and then attach it. Beats any dodgy image-hosting company hands down...plus, no annoying banner ads!

Ooooooh. Nasty.

Hm, well, does Domina love you? Just use the shield and get to the nearest allied station -- anyone will do, but choose Fortress, or Corporate if you can. The allies there should be able to help.

If you can't use the shield, you'll have to wing it and hope your shield/armour can hold until you reach safety. You are low on fuel, so I hope the distance you have to go isn't too far. Just check your map and go for it! You don't have missiles, so....you won't be able to face them one-on-one, so just fly!

This is, however, very bug-like and I think George will want to check this out.

I'm rather upset because my game is excellent so far. I'll miss exploiting the weak.

I'm still rather upset that photobucket considers me a second rate citizen. I actually checked their terms of use.

In the system I'm in ATM, I destroyed two ferian hives and both spawned only three fighters. And I almost died fighting those three, mind you.

I briefly checked the code for the Ferians and found that the "totalwarriors' is explicitly defined as three, several times. So you most certainly have a bug. >.>

It would be cool if you could upload a copy of your savegame... that should help George find the error.

More then likely they felt the uploaded photo violated a license (game screenshots) and would need to be remove.d

I didn't even upload a photo; at registration photobucket said: Based on the information provided, you are ineligible for registration on photobucket

And I know save files are interchangable; When I get bored with a game I copy the save file to a seperate file. as long as the mods on the two games are the same, it lets you pick up the old save. Thus you could just upload the "playername.sav

Actually, you can get more than 3 if you do the following:
1) kill miners to spawn one
2) repaeat step one until you have several following you around
3) kill the hive
you will note that kiling the Hive is what is restricted to 3; the ones spawned do not seem to be counted in that total.

I exploited that just to get a ferian plasma cannon I didn't need simply to have it for the sake of messing around after I killed the ICS.
