TSB is temporarily on-hold while I get things moved over to blender (many materials/textures broke, and I spent over a week just fixing the importer so that the meshes themselves would work), and then code up some UI alterations to blender to make it useable for my workflow

This is a necro, but I'd like to bring to attention the fact that, since Dropbox discontinued the public folder, all the images Wolfy's put up have disappeared. I suppose I'd also like to ask about progress.

Oh right. That.
I'll need to put up a gallery or something at some point of TSB pictures.
Anyways, progress over the past year has been pretty much non-existent due to having to switch over to blender and doing a whole lot of work around getting the files to work and such
On the plus side, thats nearly totally resolved, and I have 3 vastly faster computers (thanks AMD) than what I was using previously.
Currently I'm remaking my materials & textures library from the ground up in blender, so all of the ships in TSB will be getting re-rendered with 120 frames (updated with the new scaling & camera setup that george is using now, and having high resolution renders for hero images). This will probably also force george to make the move to 64bit sooner rather than later.
Here is a sample re-rendering (WIP):

Glad to hear you're getting somewhere! Also the new render looks sweet.

The actual ship in-game isn't going to be that big - I'm redoing all the renders at a high resolution for the sake of having plenty of 'hero images' for future UI changes or needs (such as for dockscreen or ship purchase UIs - I haven't actually played the game in a while since I've been busy with RL and working on version 0.4 for TSB which involves a large amount of changes, one of which is this complete and total rework of every single rendered asset that TSB uses. Some additional ships/stations are being completely redone from scratch)

There have been a number of people who have been having a problem with an infinite loading screen while using TSB. I’ve narrowed the issue down to how replacing Centauri-occupied stations are replaced by TSB. To that end, until Wolfy and George can sort out how to fix it properly, I put together a quick-n’-dirty patch to handle it. Get it here, unzip it, put it in your Extensions folder, and select it like any other mod at the start of the game.

Do you have a 1.8 version someplace? I'd be interested to try this.
