i'm highly sure that i will update the mod this weekend.

the scripting is almost done, just doing a bit fixes

update log v1.00

-improved GFX, shake reduced
-new Photon Torpedo Launcher, with basic concept taken from Cygnus.x1's defiant
-new photon torpedo launcher sound, it will be really cool 4 sure
-improved phaser sound
-reduced cargo load so it will not feels like godship
-reduced phaser damage
-improved scripting

If the shaking is gone, it will be a really cool ship :D

That (apart from the obvious godmodness), was the only real bad thing about this mod. The phasers and sounds and all that are super cool.

Well, two separate StarTrek ship lines seems redundant, no? Care to join forces and release a joint mod?

sounds like it came straight from the movies (duh ;))

but you only need a single shot, not 5...

and I'd suggest using a very short loop of the phaser sound, they have to fire at such a rapid rate to look even somewhat right that any sound made for it is going to be triggered consecutively a lot. Your original phaser wav lasted about 2 seconds before I switched it to a vanilla laser cannon sound.

(PS I'm copying that wav to my phone for ringtones :D)

I've been browsing thru the weap tutorials, got a few ideas, this is fast data dump, no sortOrder

I'd like to merge our two mods, make it the goto for 'Starfleet Ships & Weapons', that way we can provide a large variety of stuff for other modders (or us I suppose) to make more SF related ships in the future. That and I really don't want to play ping-pong with our respective scripts.

I could justify a higher damage rate for the Phasers if we add a capacitor function. It's not totally canon to the SF universe, but would make for better play balance. It has such a high firerate to get the gfx even close to a 'solid beam' that balancing damages are difficult.

Given the 'cosmic mini-bang' idea of 0-point energy, I'm thinking of tweaking the vanilla fusion explosion to 50% size and cyan/blue colors for use with the Q-Torps. I also need to tweak the 'starburst' settings, even numbers of spikes just looks wrong.

Canon 'Future' stuff:
Delta flyer (unless somebody beats me to it, I'll have to teach myself how to use Blender and use a mesh from the site alterecco mentioned)
Trans-phasic Torpedo (Voyager final episode), higher yield, penetrates, capitol ship killer, big freakin' explosion effect, high hit-points.
Ablative Armor (not armor resistant to blast,kinetic like the vanilla barrel treatment, but the rapidly regenerating armor from the future voyager designed to resist the borg beamcutter weapon)

Non-canon 'Future' weapons:
Phaser Type XV (12+3=15): same dmg, config=spread2, multi-target, color?
Phaser Type XIX (15+4=19): same dmg, config=spread3, multi-target, color?

i test the updated mod and it shows this error:

Invalid UNID: 0 [does not match extension UNID or override base type]

what it means? i already double check the UNID and there's no repetition, i even test it on a fresh transcendence but still dont work
can someone help me?

EDIT: there's must to be something wrong with Cygnus.x1 torpedo launcher and its ammo, i'm checking it now

OK. script and fixes are DONE...

the list of updates:

- Graphical shake of the NCC-1701E is now null
- New Torpedo launcher from Cygnus.X1 basic concept
- New Torpedo launcher sound
- New startscreen ship image
- Reduced cargo load so it will not feels like godship
- Reduced phaser damage
- Only ablative armor enhancement is available on first spawn

improved phaser sound is cancelled, as the "new" version makes it sounds even more silly :?

This is a rally nice playership mod. Well done, no errors and such :D

A few thoughts, of a personal nature (nitpicks really).

The ship seems a little bit big. I don't know if it's just me; maybe the Enterprise "really" is that big.

The text for the Torp Launcher slightly overflows into the next row.

The torpedo's launch origin is slightly offset to the left. I don't know if it's one of those painfull things to fix, but it would look better if it were centered.

If i fire torpedoes (the mark QII variety) the phaser ends up getting disabled.

In my opinion it's still too overpowered. It's much much better than the previous version though. If you and Cygnus add more Trek items to the game, it might be possible to start with lower power devices, and find some of the badass phasers and Torps later in the game.

You can put all of the resources into a subfolder, to keep them organized. Then change the path for your resources. Something like:

Helps keep things organized and, well, saves me the trouble of having to do it myself :D

Mostly nitpicks, as i said. I hope you keep on improving this otherwise fine ship (and the Transcendence take on the Trek universe).

you mean the origin is too much to the left and going rightward after launch? maybe i''l check that later.

that's because if i place low power weapon first then looking for better ones later, there's not enough star trek weapon variation. that's why i'm trying the joint-ops mod with Cygnus.X1
